Same to you. I've heard several say that AJ only won all of those games because the talent around him. Now you're trying to say that the talent around him is overrated, so how exactly did he win all of those games?

I'm sure he's a better tight end than the others.
Too bad he was drafted and is working as a QB right now. He probably will get the Blake Bell treatment eventually.
Point being, the draft is far too flawed to be considered the be-all-end-all. Fun to look at, and can be helpful, but flawed.

How then do you objectively measure WRs? Stats cannot be compared across the board because of scheme differences.

It is hard to objectively measure anything. Another point about the NFL draft is that it has a lot to do with needs and what certain teams like in a prospect in terms of skill set.
The average person doesn't necessarily have time for this, but if you wanted a true rank you'd have to rid yourself of bias and just watch film.
So basically I'm saying its impossible unless one guy is just obviously better.

So then it's not out of the question that Cooper is at the top of the returning WRs in tSEC.

I said Top 5, that includes numbers 1-5
I don't know exactly how I would rank them, but probably Treadwell and North at 1-2.
But no, definitely not out of the question.

If we can keep it civil, may I as what qualities they possess that convinces you to rank them ahead of Cooper?

I mean Treadwell may be better, but North is a joke.

I shouldn't have to answer in regards to Treadwell. He is an all around beast.
North: STRONG hands, big guy, not blazing fast but can get downfield if the DB isn't ready for it, adjusts to the ball as good as anyone (and has to often with who he has throwing to him). Maybe wasn't quite ready to come in and play as a freshman, but it is UT so he had to.

North is a joke.
This guy has it right - such an astute analysis! UT doesn't have any second tier receivers - they're all fifth or sixth tier at best. Just continue to disregard all our receivers and the entire offense. We suck, and Butch is considering forfeiting every SEC game, especially Vandy!

DeAndrew White deserves to be in this conversation.

Solid, but nothing special. Has the athleticism, but hasn't put it together. Maybe this year, but even then there won't be enough touches or him to prove it.

he was a true freshman last year and:
terrible throw, but look at that concentration to make the catch
Photo of the year:
Plus we got Josh Malone (UGA fans you know what i'm talking about), Von Pearson (one of his catches in spring practice made ESPN top 10), and Pig Howard (solid). And not to mention Croom, the biggest WR in the SEC @ 6'5" 235.
We stacked

Draft pick is the most objective way to rank them because there is no homerism involved.
Tim Tebow and Tim Couch agree with you.

I still think his foot never had turf by the time he corralled that catch vs Georgia. It was incredibly close but to me it looked like his feet were off the ground.

me, too brother. But hey, I didn't think Vandy got that fourth down conversion in our game, but they called it. Life sucks. At least ya'll still won your game

First time I have seen that catch. It was a great catch, but after watching it several times.....I think his feet were off the ground when he gained control. Was it called a TD after replay?
