I guess I'm the only realist here. In today's world of free agency, etc. no one player is absolutely, positively untouchable. The Angels are going nowhere fast with Trout, and there is a very good chance he bolts when his contract is up. If you can get Mazara, Profar, Gallo, Brinson, Ortiz + 1 more valuable present big league talent from the Rangers you have to take a long, hard look in the mirror before you can say no. Sometimes you have to have the courage to make tough and unpopular decisions for the betterment of your franchise.

Not to be the Debbie downer here, but aside from being a legacy, what assurances do we have that Rogers will flip to us?

The outcome is not important as the fellowship and community. Without football I would never have gotten the opportunity to spend as much quality time with my family and friends as I have. For that I'll always be grateful.
