Didn't Tennessee average more rushing yards per game than Alabama this year?
I'll let you figure this one out for yourself, but I will toss you hint.
East-West.
Take your shoes off Jethro because you're going to need those toes to help with the gozinta and cypherin you'll need to figure this one out.

Fwiw, I agree that UT has the best overall backfield returning. Will it play out that way? Who knows.
But it's too damn early to start talking about next year. OP was asking for the downvotes.

IIRC, we were second in rushing this year. Bama was first. It's probably not that far fetched since everyone returns. The combination of Hurd, Kamara, and Dobbs is very difficult for defenses to defend against.

Why DOES TN run the ball so much. That group of receivers last year was insanely talented. Can Dobbs not throw?
WR corps was pretty much non-existent last year. Injured to frick an back. Dobbs can throw but the passing game is woefully inconsistent partially because of that. Another issue is that while our OL has learned to run block they still suck at pass pro. Even so, the WRs have underperformed every single year Coach Z has been there and under different QBs. We've seen Dobbs throw lasers and we've seen him throw what looked like wild arse passes. I've also seen the WRs run the wrong routes on some of those wild ones.
IOW, it's not Dobbs so much as it is a larger problem and one that is a combination of things, including when Dobbs gets out of sync (when he's in sync no throws it any better and that makes the passing game situation all the more frustrating). Injuries, OL, and Coach Z who imo overcomplicates things and plays too many WRs (he likes to sub WRs every other play for god only knows what reason and the result is no WR gets hot and the QB can't get in sync with the WRs.)
To give you an example of what I mean with the subbing - I've seen Dobbs throw a ball perfectly down field that would've hit Marquez North in stride and produced a TD only to see Pig Howard playing in North's position (Pig was about a foot shorter and had no chance on that ball and should never be on the outside). shite like that has been prevalent with Z who seems to think a WR should play any of the WR positions at random and never for more than one play.
Our WR corps was only worth a damn when Butch got so frustrated with Coach Z that he started working with WRs himself. They improved immediately and so did the passing game. I'm praying Maryland hires Z away.

The off season has already started as far as I'm concerned. Steam rolling Northwestern is pretty much guaranteed...I will watch it with about as much interest as I did the UT-North Texas game this year. Or the Mizzou game for that matter. We deserved Michigan or Ohio State.

Fournette and Guice >>>>>>> any other RB duo
I don't think Dobbs is good enough to make up for that

Players tend to drop like flues vs UT because of our superior strength and conditioning program. Next year we are going to straight hammer folks.
