So mostly guys with the best stats because they are dual threat QBs, don't play in a balanced offense or are always playing from behind?

Which many of us expected of a true freshman QB in the SEC.
Yep, yet some UGA fans still act like Kirby's coaching is what is the problem and ignore the real problems. I think Eason did fairly well for a true freshman given the circumstances. Sure he had some really bad stretches but also showed a lot of poise and potential.

I also think there is no way Fromm comes in and starts barring injury. 1 year of SEC ball > ga high school football. And if for some reason Fromm is able to beat out Eason, then it will just speak volumes about how great Fromm is.

It is just exciting to me there are several candidates we can actually debate about. And actually make the argument they will be good, not just the tallest midget.

Fromm would have to beat out Eason as a leader too.

It took time for Eason to earn that role on the team, and it takes more than a single Spring. It took all season for Eason to earn it. That's something that's hard to take away from a man, unless he throws it away.

I mean, it's probably going to be the guy who was the best QB this year as a true freshman, with a year of experience, another spring and fall camp under his belt

If I remember correctly, LSU fans jumped in prior to last season about Harris being towards the top, and he was benched.

So careful who you call stupid.

Probably Austin Allen, unless Fitz makes a big jump in his ability to hit short throws.

Watch out for Georgia, they have the talent but coaching is a big question mark. Hope GT whoops them again though.

Hope in one hand and shite in the other and see which one fills up first.

Eason never showed consistent improvement in 2016. At the end of the year he still had abysmal timing, poor accuracy and bad pocket awareness. The positives were arm strength and toughness. Not enough unless becoming a sophomore magically adds skills.

I think Jake Fromm is the real deal. If 2017 Eason resembles 2016 Eason he is on borrowed time.

That's not true.

He needs to take some of the heat off the ball so the receivers can catch it until we get better receivers.

He needs to read the field better, missed alot of open receivers downfield choosing instead to throw to the dump off before the play developed. That is something that definitely improves with time, and could also be a symtom of him not having faith in the OL, rightfully.

He definitely has room to improve, but his accuracy was good, timing was just fine, and his pocket awareness was just fine. I'm not sure where you come up with this stuff.

You forgot the most important thing.... excellent under pressure, 2 minute drills like he's Matt Ryan.

ETA- Go watch a highlight reel of the season and keep reminding yourself he was a true freshman who had never taken a snap under center in his entire life... only shotgun. Then also remind yourself that in many of our games, the OL sucked dick and could never get a ground game going.

Then re-read your criticisms of Eason. You'll feel silly.

Austin Allen wont make the end of the season if you guys don't protect him better than you did this year. Poor guy was running for his life and took several good hits. Think what he could do with some time in the pocket.

Good thing for Allen in 2017 is Arkansas returns 4/5 starters on the OLine. Arkansas had to replace 3 starters last season and Skipper moved to left tackle.

The line was very young this season and took some lumps. They should be a very solid group next season.

Stidham could be really good but the only sample size we have of him are against big 12 defenses which suck.

and Miss St has a good defense??? LOL

Am not sold on Bentley yet, not enough tape for Dc's to game plan. Would like to see him perform under pressure.
