Jones is more of a DT.
Lawson is really good (only guy to get a sack off Tunsil is 2013), but is coming off injury.
Garrett, like everyone has said, racks up all his sacks off inferior opponents.
Barnett is probably the best of the four as of now when we talk true pass rushers.

Marquis Haynes is an outstanding pass rushing edge, but is hot garbage against the run due to his small stature. If it is an overall DE ranking, he isn't at the top but when it comes to just getting to the QB, he's close.

MG prob is better against the pass. DB might be better against the run so far. Are DB and MG both the same year?

However, I think SEC stats are slightly skewed considering the East had less quality OTs.

Lawson is good also. Strong against the run.

Floyd is an elite OLB

This year will tell the story...

Aggies will play nothing but vanilla defense against ASU.

But Chavis may be thinking right now about where he will be lining Myles Garrett up to take advantage of mismatches.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him moved around some.

I think Garrett is the best pure pass rusher. I think Barnett is the best DE. As many people have mentioned before (including myself in other threads) Garrett will be the best of Chavis teaches him how to contain (which I expect he will do). That being said, LSU has not had a dominant pass rusher in a while so I'm not sure if Garrett will be called to be a slightly different player this year.

I love Lawson's talent and think he's in the top 3 for sure if healthy. Allen and Hand are going to be animals from Bama as well.

Overall (as far as people have proven), I'd probably go:
1. Barnett
2. Lawson
3. Garrett
4. Maggitt
5. Floyd if he counts

Barnett and Lawson each gave Tunsil his only sack in each of his seasons. Myles did not.

Any school would be fortunate to have them.

If I was taking one for my team right now it is Garrett. All listed are good though.

Barnett is the best DE, but Garrett had a higher ranking coming out of high-school so I can see why some prefer him.

Definitely between the those two.

Lawson can jump into the conversation with a breakout season.
