New Orleans is only of of the fastest growing cities in the country. It grew close to 20% last year. People from all over the country are moving there too.

Yeah, I'd rather live in a nice house in A than a shithole in B too.

There is kind of a reason for such a large growth spike. Something that might have happened a few years back to cause a dramatic population decrease.

Really? The storm was 8 years ago. A lot of the people moving in are not former residents. This city has seen a huge boom in the younger professional crowd. A city this size seeing that kind of growth is nothing but positive.

So there was not a sudden population decrease and a large gap to fill that population deficiency?

The population has slowly increased throughout the 8 years and it has hit a huge boom recently.

and so much at the same time.

Anyone who has been to New Orleans, besides bourbon street and french quarter area, would not be rippin on it.

Side note, I forgot all about running the Mercedes Benz marathon in Birmingham. While those hills were a bitch, I forgot how nice some areas in Bham were.

Only been through the state of Alabama once. Mobile in "92", in a thunderstorm at night.
