There are several statues, commemorative plaques, ect., on Alabama's campus for those who've contributed to academics at UA. So shut up you asshat.

I'll shut up and you can have your little statue to kiss, it just seems so misplaced to me, but heck at least I will admit that I hate Alabama football. So maybe I'm prejudiced, no I AM prejudiced, but I would hate it if LSU started putting up statues for coaches. It would be the dumbest thing I had heard of until I found out that bama does it...

How's it misplaced? Alabama has a statue for every other coach that's won a national championship. There's been a statue of Bryant since the 1980s at Legion Field.

And Baton Rouge has a statue for Paul Dietzel.

It's still there. People wanted it moved after Alabama stopped playing at Legion Field in 2003. That's one reason the Walk of Champions was created in 2006, and then the addition of statues for Wallace Wade, Frank Thomas, and Gene Stallings was made, along with a statue of Bryant in Tuscaloosa.

Which is why I said Baton Rouge, and not LSU. But the point still remains, that Alabama isn't the only school that honors their coaches/players with statues.

No they don't, but good try. We have built a few for corrupt politicians, but I don't know of one for a "coach"????

I just remember that picture popping up a while back and people saying it was in Ohio and showing an article about how Miami Ohio built a statue of Dietzel.

OK someone had one built to get business, fact is he wasn't even that popular when he left LSU for Army, and no way in hell would LSU have built him a statue. It was much the same for the famed "burn Saban in Effigy"?? when he came back. It was just some fool trying to sell condo's, and it got all hyped up.......
