Lonnie, the only interest I have in SC football is your coach losing to Missouri with no class. If you don't point these things out then they will keep happening. You should hold your coach to a standard and stop white knighting him. If you think what he said is not whining BS then I can't help you.
Yall got a good player out of the portal, congrats. What's inherently wrong with Beamer pointing that out? We got lucky with Kyle Kinard last year and everyone raved about him. This is the same thing. I think when schools score on good players people talk about them. I my mind, that's all this is.

Beamer would have more nil money if he didn’t have to pay so much to replace lockers he kicks.

Because it's Beamer trying to excuse away his losing by mentioning money.
By gosh, if I just had more money to pay players, I would be able to coach better and wouldn't be losing these games.

He doesn't just say that Mizzou picked up a great player out of the portal. Beamer states, "They spent a lot of money on him in the portal" . This statement right here is wrong. It is wrong to imply that Missouri is in a select group or one of the few teams in the country using NIL. It also implies that if USC could match our spending they would beat Mizzou which is false. In fact, according to this article, USC ranks 22 in the country in NIL spending for 2025 while Mizzou doesn't even appear on the list.
CFB NIL
It implies that the only reason USC lost to Mizzou is that they out spend us, deflecting the blame off of himself. I shouldn't have to get this thorough for you, but there it is.

Im sorry I hate to tell you but that is how all the gamecocks tg8nk here in upstate south carolina

What is it about Carolina coaches that make Missouri fans turn into little bitches?
Dawn made your AD flip out then cry after he had to open his wallet for running his lying mouth now Beamer has your panties in a wad.
This is why Missouri will never fit in the SEC. Crying liberal fans.

coaches have made millions on the backs of football players, stop whining and do you job that you are handsomely paid
And yet we conveniently leave out that most of these "handsomely paid" head coaches started off as graduate assistants and lower level assistant coaches working more hours than there were in a day and living off low end salaries, canned foods and ramen.
While the spoiled a$$ athletes have had most things given to them their entire lives, been treated like kings, while other "regular" athletes and students have had to go by the rules. Yet we've been hell bent on painting the players as the "victims". LOL! Only in America!

How much is USCe paying Sellers? Because I don't think you're getting your money's worth out of him (and I am pretty sure it's a significantly larger bag than what Trotter got).

No coach worth his salt mentions paying players in the NIL era.

I've explained this before, I put Yankee in my handle to rustle low IQs on the rant. Congrats on the Jimmie rustle.

Yeah, Beamer was heaping praise on Trotter. What's not to like about that? Trotter deserves it.

Wtf are you talking about. Just about every coach has talked about paying players .
Missouri is taking this personally when Beamer said it to get Gamecock fans to pay up

Can you show me a clip of ANY coach in CFB complaining about their opponent paying a lot of money for a particular portal player? He is obviously deflecting blame. Of course coaches have talked about NIL to their own fanbases, this is not the case in this situation.

His excuse making has to be wearing thin for SC fans, right?
My understanding is that SC was high on Trotter, and he was set to visit Cola after visiting CoMo. He left CoMo with a commitment, and SC either didn't want to, or wasn't able to match. It was a big loss, as Trotter is awesome.
Beamer handled the portal in 2024 off-season very, very well. His 2025 off-season wasn't nearly as good, and we're seeing the results.
My biggest complaint with Beamer is that he doesn't hold his coaches accountable, and he goes cheap with his hiring/promotion. The OL has been dogshit every year he's been here, despite a massive upgrade in "talent." The OC has never been unique or interesting, and he's in the process of wasting another NFL QB (you don't have to be impressed with Sellers to see he's still going to be a first-round pick in the spring).
This was his year to breakout, and really have a strong season. Instead, largely due to hubris, he's fallen flat on his face. Still, he's not going anywhere, unless VaTech rolls the dice. We won't fire him, so he'll be coming back in 26 no matter what.
But there was a discussion on the SC 24/7 board, and it was just about unanimous. Beamer isn't a quality HC. He's good at a lot, particularly recruiting and fundraising, but as a game day coach, he's pretty dogshit, and he whines like a bitch when he loses instead of firing MFers when they suck.
Muschamp never gave a shite. He was here to get paid. Beamer cares, for whatever that's worth, but he's arrogant. And he has no reason to be. He's worn thin on the vast majority of us, but our AD is a dumpster fire because of Ray Tanner. Donati, the new guy, is staring down inheriting a last-place finish in baseball, basketball, and football in the one full sports year he's been here.

If SC loses to UK this weekend (which is highly probable), and limps into the bye at 2-3, the pitchforks will be out.
Conversely, a lot will be forgiven (even if it shouldn't) if SC goes into the bye at 3-2, and goes on another late-season tear. I don't think this is probable, at all.

Just a few weeks ago Gundy for Oklahoma St basically called out Oregon's entire team and it got Dan Lanning's panties so much in a wad that he dropped 69 points on them. Coaches have mentioned other programs having more money to pay players than them, it just doesn't get a ton of camera time. But it happens.

But the irony is that Beamer spent a bunch of money in places that haven't borne fruit. He paid some OL, upgraded CB, a RB, and got a 3rd string QB from Ohio State. That QB isn't playing, the CB is good, but soft in tackling, the RB misses key blocks and can't break tackles, and the OL is putrid.
He had money. He just didn't allocate it worth a shite.
