Folks, I just happen to appreciate excellence. Evidently many of you are satisfied w/mediocrity.

Anyone can win at Alabama. The program is making Saban look better than what he really is.

Then was were his five years at LSU, when he inherited a program that had seven losing seasons in the 90s.

I call BS. UGA, LSU, UF, and even Auburn have everything Alabama can offer. Recruiting bases, facilities, passionate fans, and money. We might not have the incredible past, but what does that matter now?

lsu fans that hate Saban may as well deal with the fact that he is now considered one of the top, if not the top coach in college football. Whether its jealousy or just pure hate, I don't know, but time to face facts.

Seems to matter a good bit. A lot of kids mention it when they go through the recruiting process.

What does it have to do with them, though? Recruits care about facilities, coaches, fanbases, and potential to win now. Of course program prestige matters, but LSU, UGA, and UF are top 15 programs of all time.

Yet, there's a good bit of distance between the top five programs and the rest, relative to all time accomplishments. Seems a lot of kids want to follow in the path of all that history. However, facilities, coaches, fanbases, and location play an important role as well.

People like to use that argument all the time, but Texas, Oklahoma, USC, Ohio State, Alabama, etc, all went through rough times. Some a lot longer than others. Notre Dame will eventually get it. You haven't followed college football long enough if you think tradition doesn't give some programs a leg up. Regardless, ND's problems has had less to do with talent, than coaching selections. They had some very good recruiting classes of late.

Kirk Ferentz. I wish he was a bigger program so he can showcase his skills. Outstanding coach doing wonders with limited resources.

Iowa has the best coach in the game right now. Kirk would dominate at a program like Georgia.

Georgia is one probably the most underrated jobs in the whole country.

It's the 4th best state for high school talent and there is only one other D1 program. Georgia is really an underachieving program historically almost Aggie like.

Saban knows and sticks to the basics in a world where a lot of coaches are trying to overthink football. Run, play defense, win the turnover battle and you will win a lot of football games.
