Why would you expect Reed to throw the ball?
I understand the team ran it down LSU's throat. Reed has not faced an elite defense that can stop the run. What are you going to do when a team stops the run? My guess is throw and you need wrs to throw to. I'm not saying A&M can not win against a good defense but it would be easier to do so with a balanced attack. I thought Noah Thomas would have a breakout year. As of right now I don't even think a team has to focus on A&Ms passing attack. Klein needs to throw in some wrinkles against S.C. and try and get the TEs involved. Reed fits Klien's system great but you need to be able to rely on the pass also against great defense. I have no idea how it will work out. A&M can not get behind against a team that's good at stopping the run as of right now in my opinion.

I agree in theory but last night we were losing and trying to get the win. They went with what was working in order to win the game.

The only way they can stay on the field with Texas is if the Horns beat themselves. It's a bad matchup for A&M, period. Texas can stop the run and has the best secondary in CFB with corners that can blanket A&M's inferior receivers in cover 0. That means stacking the box and Hill is ideal for spying Reed. I'd expect A&M's offensive output to mirror OU's in the RRSO

Kudos to Georgia's D because they forced most of them, but Georgia's O didn't do much against Texas either, aside from capitalizing on short fields. If you include on downs, Texas had 7 turnovers in that game. Here were Georgia's scoring drives
4 plays 13 yards TD
7 plays 13 yards FG
3 plays 34 yards TD
7 plays 25 yards FG
4 plays 4 yards FG
11 plays 89 yards TD
They had 1 legit drive the entire game and Beck went 23/41 for 175 0 td's 3 int's. Georgia only had 283 yards of total offense

Elko made a great call to put in Reed no doubt. Reed should be the starter going foward in my opinion. Reed has been okay passing the ball and A&M as a whole has been just okay if not bad besides a couple games against weak defenses.
Reed was only part of that equation last night also. That was a total dominant second half that started with the defense. They set the Ags up at the 8 and got them right back in the game . Did the same thing again and A&M took the lead and never looked back thanks to Reeds legs and the rb's and defensive play. My point is if the Ags want to go far and make some noise they will need to find some consistency.Need it through the air to keep good defenses from teeing off just like A&M defensd did to LSU with no ground game .

quote:You really think people who use FB as their primary way to discuss football know much about the game? In any case, I'm gonna require screenshots with specific examples. Posting about being happy about a win isn't the same as crowing about "giving a beatdown to one of the best teams in the SEC"
No kidding, they were all over Facebook last night, posting about giving a beat down to one of the best teams in the SEC
The mental gymnastics they have to go through to convince themselves that the three-point victory over Vanderbilt was a beat down and that Vanderbilt is one of the best teams in the SEC. I’ll be at. They are not a pushover, but certainly not one of the best teams in the SEC.
Logic is because they beat Alabama. They claim they are one of the best teams in the SEC.
It’s incredible
You probably saw something like that from one single low information Longhorn cousin or something.

We all know the Aggie end of season rollercoaster free fall is coming sooner or later

They beat us fair and square, and they should be stoked to be 1st in the SEC, but their win last night was reminiscent of Les Miles / Jordan Jefferson type wins. Kind of like LSU’s win over SCe was a win that just “felt gross”, this one wasn’t as bad as that but it was in the same ballpark.
They were very fortunate to not be down 27-7 at the half. They were down 17-7 and that was not because of how well they played.
Either way, it was a win for them.

You might want to update that image to Say November instead of October. Because it’s a bit dated.
