Herschel Walker is incredible, he's in better shape at age 50 than most 25 year old athletes.

Exactly. Big Ten and Pac 12 have been colluding against the SEC forever. Once they get on a committee they will try to get other conferences to join them and gain their favor.

No doubt. But we have the Big 12 on our side so they can try those games but it won't work. In all reality, the 4 teams selected will likely mirror the AP top 25 most years. If it drifts too far from that like having a #7 ranked Michigan in over a #4 ranked Florida, things would get ugly and the public would go nuts.

Would probably side with the Big Ten academic snobs.

I'd like Gene Stallings to do it.

FIFY
And I wouldn't want to see it either. See how long it's taken them to agree on any kind of playoff scenario? It'd just be the same bullshite.

Vince Dooley is the obvious answer..

The "human element" is why we're going to a playoff to begin with.

You don't say?

I trust Slive to put the correct representative from the SEC on the committee
Of course you do.

I'm thinking Gene Stallings or Houston Nutt. Both have ties to more than one SEC school.
If that's the criterion, why not Nick Saban?

i nominate Herschel Walker
nobody else on the committee would be brave enough to tell him no
Didn't read whole thread but Herschel could chair a 10 man committee( HW & his alters) by hisself..

Herschel truly is a badass.

Fulmer would be an excellent choice. Very high integrity man who has represented the SEC and its institutions with class.
Seriously??
Bobby Lowder would have less anti-Bama bias than Fat Phil

There is already a human element to the process. It's called the fricking human polls. Why they have to revamp the whole system is beyond me. Leave the rankings like they are and just decide on a way to use them to pick the 4 teams. This isnt that fricking difucult. You would think the idiots making these decisions would have a little more fricking smarts than this.

No doubt. But we have the Big 12 on our side
We may have entered into a bowl agreement with them but I wouldnt count on them pulling any filabusters for us since we just poached 2 of their teams. 1 of which being not only a charter member but one of the more respected institutions in the league.
