I hope he keeps Webb at DE. The rest of the DT rotation showed well last week and he did a good job of adding some beef on the edge against the run.

Might have to as banged up as we are at DE.

My only problem with this is Batoon let Kamario stand in his spot and throw deep. IMHO, loop a LB around and get him off his spot. If he still makes those deep throws, we'll so be it.

They sacked Taylor 5 times, forced 4 punts, and 1 turnover. They lost to State because Drink pulled the throttle back and Lebby was able to keep running the ball.

Unless one of Smith or Kitchen can play, Id say at worst he gets early down time at DE with Bryant or Johnson coming in for passing downs. Batoon currently has 4 dlinemen with a Pass Rush Win% over 20%.

And yet Mizzou's sack rate is #22 in the country.

He has five solo's and two halves for a total of six. That's #6 in the country and only 2 behind the leader.

The D-line may not have put up great sack #s against A&M, but I would argue they did a great job. Shut down the run game, including the supposedly explosive young back the announcers were going on about early in the game.

Helped make A&M 1 dimensional and rushed with great discipline all game long. Snap after snap, they moved the Aggy line back swiftly enough to pressure Reed quickly without deviating from their pass rush lanes. The lanes left for Reed to run directed him right to Rodriguez and Woodyard, time after time after time.

a&m doesn't throw it that much. They have been their best this year when they are at around 70/30 run/pass. Combine that with all their 6 play drives and there wasn't much to sack.

They generated 13 pressures and 3 sacks against 39 passing attempts. They did that rushing 3 several times. Dropping 8 into coverage did a number on Reed.

They are 6th in pass attempts per game (35) which is still less than their rushing attempts per game (36).

EDIT: But you are probably right. It was probably a terrible effort by the defense and they should have had many more sacks than they did. Fire batoon. I should not defend the lack of sacks vs a&m.

A whopping 4 fewer per game than Ole Miss at #1. They have thrown the ball 38 times or more in half of their games.

I said you are right. The D really laid an egg vs A&M. This is what I get for trying to give our D some credit.

Making up an argument no one made when you are wrong.

Classic.
