I guess that the Bama fanbase can say that the city of New Orleans caused oneof their fans to do what their fan did.

Batting 10% isn't bad in your context.

Did you mean 1.000?

There are so many pussies in this thread it's astounding. LSU fans and Bama fans.

Pretty sure this non-story doesn't even come close to registering on Leon Cannizzaro's radar, not to mention his son is a recent graduate of Alabama. I'd be incredibly shocked if he even comments on it.

The fake rage on tigerdroppings lately has been out of control. The sensitive pussies on this site on all boards is making it hard to read.

Cannizaro is meeting with the BR DA TODAY.
They already know who the perp is.
They know who the victim is, but he hasn't personally come forward. But he doesn't NEED to to charge the perp.
The DA in the perp's county has been contacted as well.
He will be charged with sexual assualt (probably second degree) and a warrant issued and he will be extradited to Nola .
His dream of being an internet superstar will be achieved and he will be a CELEBRITY soon.
It's always nice to see a man achieve his goals.

Culture? New Orleans is a cool city with rich culture and history and parts of South Louisiana are unique but don't confuse "culture" with upscale refinement. Louisiana is no more upscale than Alabama despite the elitist arrogant delusions of many on TD who constantly insult the state of Alabama.

Lousiana has no place even REMOTELY as high tech as Huntsville which was rated the 9th smartest city in the world last year. Marshal Space Flight Center runs and manages the Michoud Facility in metro New Orleans and does the same with Stennis in Mississippi. Both facilities take their orders from Alabamians at Marshal Space Flight Center in Huntsville.

Birmingham while it has had its problems in recent years has long had a corporate community that easily outpaced New Orleans. The entire state of Louisiana, much less New Orleans alone, has ever been headquartered to 7 Fortune 500 headquarters at one time as Bham was for many years. New Orleans and Louisiana could only dream of having a research juggernaut like the University of Alabama School of Medicine located at UAB which gets more federal funding than all Louisiana based universities COMBINED (straight from Gov Jindal's mouth). Better beaches, better golf, and better hunting among other things not to mention a much prettier and diverse landscape throughout the state of Alabama as compared to Louisiana. I love the festival culture (not necessarily Mardi Gras but the local festival culture) of New Orleans and the surrounding area but South Louisiana is an environmental disaster and is literally the toilet for much of the rivers systems and watersheds of the U.S. east of the Rockies. I have family in the New Orleans area and have grown to appreciate it more and more over the years but let's not get high and mighty. You guys are no more special or of a higher class of people than Alabamians. There is little difference between the average resident of each state.

Quality of Life/Well Being of States (Forbes 2011):

#33 - Alabama
#40 - Louisiana

That has GOT to be embarrassing for Randy Patrick. Won't help his sons career any either.

I missed the Bham TV news spot that allegedly said the drunk had been harassing and shoving Alabama fans prior to the incident. This was reported on Deadspin.
Anyone see any such news spot. If so, any elaboration on the claim?
I really hope this news story didn't happen unless someone really had provable knowledge of this.

I've never found the whole idea of "mooning" someone from your car or "teabagging" in this case to be even remotely funny. Some people have extremely bizarre and sick senses of humor.

As for Mr. Patrick, of all the things a parent has to worry about their child getting in trouble for you wouldn't think being associated with a public "teabagging" is one that is high on the list of likely things.

Mobile, Ala.'s WKRG opened its 10 p.m. newscast with the video of an Alabama fan teabagging an LSU fan at the Bourbon Street Krystal after the BCS title game. What WKRG failed to mention is that one of the stars of the video is none other than Patrick Setterstrom, a recent college grad and son of the station's sports director, Randy Patrick Setterstrom. Indeed, if you watch the video, it's Patrick Setterstrom who first attempts to pull out his package before girlfriend Ellen Cassin (who's conveniently wearing a jersey with her own name on it) stops him.

"The story led newscasts tonight in Birmingham and New Orleans. Birmingham tried to put a pro-Alabama spin on the story, alleging the victim of the incident was drunkenly shoving 'Bama fans earlier on Bourbon Street."

quote:

Cannizzero was on the Radio this morning asking the 'victim' to please come forward and allow the NOPD/DA to do their job in this case.

Leo wanted to send a clear message that this will not be tolerated and even hinted (albeit very unlikely) that this can technically fall under the 'Hate Crime' law.

quote:

In New Orleans, meanwhile, WVUE is reporting the victim has retained an attorney and that charges will be filed soon.
