Tennessee, ranked in the top 13 of preseason polls by ESPN, CBS and NBC has announced 8 of its 13 non-conference basketball games. It is headlined by the fourth neutral site meeting in the last six years with Gonzaga, currently ranked #1 by CBS in the preseason. The last three matchups between the Vols and Zags have taken place in Seattle, Nashville and Phoenix. The most recent was a December 2018 matchup in Phoenix which saw #5 Tennessee defeat #1 Gonzaga 76-73 behind 30 points from Admiral Schofield.

The Vols will also travel to #10 Wisconsin in early November to take on a Wisconsin team that returns 4 starters from a Big 10 championship team.

Other highlights of the schedule include:

-The conclusion of a 3 game series with Memphis in Nashville, which has seen the two schools split the first two games on campus sites.

-A home matchup with defending AAC champion Cincinnati.

-A home date in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.

Nice. Excited to see how SEC basketball plays out next year with all these awesome recruiting classes coming in.

So far we've announced a series against Oklahoma in Tulsa and a Las Vegas tournament against Louisville. Hopefully more to come.

That's been the scuttle, but who knows. This would be the perfect year for Texas/Tennessee but Barnes has been so adamant that not happen that doesn't seem likely. KU/UK are already playing. Maybe you go UK/West Virginia, Tennessee/Texas Tech, Kansas/LSU, Auburn/Texas, Florida/Oklahoma State, Arkansas/Baylor or something like that

Why do you say the BasketVOLS and the BaseVOLS, but not the FootVOLS?

Barnes said he expects KU to come back to Knoxville back in January but there are a lot of different ways to play it.

Tennessee, UK, LSU all at home and KU, West Virginia, Texas Tech and Texas all on the road in this thing.

Baylor at home and UF, Arkansas and Auburn on the road, as well.

I hate that this game is on a Wednesday. Saturday afternoon would have been perfect to drive up to Madison and back.

If Tennessee can’t beat Gonzaga in that game Gonzaga may enter the NCAAT undefeated.

Zags have a pretty tough schedule I believe. Texas, Arizona, Xavier, Texas Tech and that Orlando tourney with Michigan State, Xavier and Auburn.

Didn’t know they were also playing in a tourney. I know Auburn will be good but haven’t kept up with Michigan State.
