America’s pastime is not insulted by this take.

If I had no rooting interest, my choices tv wise would be mlb, softball, little league World Series before college baseball. Baseball in general is like hockey, better in person.

Was that a testimony on faith?

Yeah, that’s great.
So are you going to shitcan your mediocre coach or continue to be left behind now that you’re in a real conference?

College baseball is far less popular than football and hoops. That's just reality. Look at TV ratings and attendance. They don't lie. No school is building a 30,000-45,000-seat stadium for baseball to mirror MLB. Baseball is not a money maker for schools. Football is king in that regard, basketball a distant 2nd and baseball a laggard.
College baseball just doesn't have a national following that football and basketball have. Baseball fans who care at all mainly care about their own teams, and that's it. I've never heard anyone here saying they couldn't wait to watch a Tennessee-Arkansas baseball game or series or any other game college baseball game or series. And I live in St. Louis, home of the Cardinals, who are almost always Top 5 in attendance and have the most World Series titles of any team not named the Yankees. Baseball is big in this town, but MLB only, not college.
The ping of the metal bats doesn't help, either. That is far from "pure" baseball.
And the College World Series is a blip on the popularity radar.

Just like a damn yankee Mizzou poster. Take your arse to the Big Ten already you anti-baseball yanks. I'm surprised Mizzou even has a baseball team.

back in olden days, before the internets, they were public places to pass along football recruiting information, only reason you went.

Even LSU loses money on baseball but according to this message board it's on the same level as football.

What did I say that was not factual? College baseball is just not that popular around the country compared with football and hoops. Deal with it.
And who says I don't like baseball? I'm a longtime Cardinals fan and have attended hundreds of games. I love the game and hate what Manfred is doing to it. I'm just not into college baseball, like tens of millions of other Americans are not into it, either.
As I said, where are the ballparks seating even 25,000 or so for college ball? They don't exist because the seats can't be filled.
