Here are how teams rank in terms of number of wins against the current RPI Top 25:

10- Alabama, Texas
9- Auburn
8- Georgia, Arkansas, Ole Miss
7- Kansas, Tennessee, Florida
6- Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, Virginia
5- UCLA, N. Carolina, Florida St.

The top 6 teams in the country in terms of # of big wins are all from the SEC…. And 9 of the Top 12.

A more accurate picture of a teams resume might be this…

RPI Top 25 Wins minus Losses Outside the Top 25:

+6 Auburn, Texas
+4 Ole Miss, Texas A&M
+2 Georgia, Georgia Tech
+1 Arkansas, Florida, N Carolina, UCLA
-1 Florida St, Miss St
-2 Alabama, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Tennessee
-3 Kansas, Miami
-4 USC, Virginia
-5 Wake Forest
-6 Kentucky, Oregon St.

FYI, Vandy is -7, LSU -8, Missouri -9, and South Carolina is -10.

For the record, there are at-large teams in the projected field that have a +/- of -12.

The SEC deserves at least 8 hosts… probably 9 but I doubt they give that to us… and FYI at least 13 teams deserve a bid, arguably 14.

Looking at all 4 Quad listings for OU:

Quad 1: 5-9
Quad 2: 9-5
Quad 3: 3-0
Quad 4: 12-0

One of only 4 teams with 0 Quad 3/4 losses. Other 3 are Aub/Ole Miss/MSST

Here’s some more data:

PEARatings
@PEARatings

NCAA Tournament Champions Tracker

Every champ since 2009 passed all 8 stats, and 23/26 champs passed the first 7.

Georgia and Oklahoma both dropped off since last week. Georgia for their RA/G, and Oklahoma for their Away Win% and Blowout W/L ratio

Wonder if you could adjust for this with regard to just weekend losses vs all games. Not that this is any less valid a look at resume but curious the actual strength of teams by this metric when it’s good vs good during weekends tilts.

interesting chart. Assuming that end of regular season data is applicable, where did you get this from (for future reference)?

This has been a confusing, frustrating season to watch as an Alabama fan.

I think, as of last projection, we're on the cusp of hosting - 17th seed. We really need to do well this final stretch if we're going to host.
