It really is sad southern schools are using astroturf for outdoor fields.
They must be poor and can’t afford the lawn maintenance.

No wonder Tenn and Texas have such good offensive numbers the ball bounces hard off that fake turf! And to say they said we allowed them down in football because our grass was bad lol…. You don’t even have real grass ?

Tennessee does grow some bomb weed, and that is the only thing good about that state.
Ironic that you type and post this about Tennessee while rooting for the flagship university of a state widely regarded as the "a-hole of America".

The drainage at Swayze is so good that we can already do this with natural grass.

Because turf never gets muddy and you don't have to keep 10 yards of touch-up dirt piled up behind the bullpen. When the lightning goes away, you immediately play ball. No groundskeeping delays.
Even in this highly edited photo that's supposed to appear beautiful, it looks ugly and depressing as shite. That is NOT a baseball field.
What's funny is that the stadium is surrounded by grass growing real nice and green outside of it. Wtf is that

See, not that I want to mount a defense on behalf of turf but there’s a world of difference between that stupid design Texas uses and what Georgia has. Honestly if you didn’t know we had a turf field, you could be forgiven for just assuming ours is grass and dirt
