All time….
You have Polk, Tanner and Bertman.
Who else in that discussion?
Bianco is going to pass Bertman next year in wins. And passed Polk in titles.
Have to mention him.
Van Horn has everything but a title.
Corbin has a loaded team every year, actually feel he underachieves most years.
O’Sullivan has a hell of a run.

Bertman, a gap, then everyone else

Polk is great and he did a lot for college baseball. But he never won a title. He isn’t in the top 3 for me.
Bertman is unquestionably number 1
Tim Corbin
Ray Tanner
Ron Polk
Bertman is unquestionably number 1
Tim Corbin
Ray Tanner
Ron Polk

A lot of coaches have more wins than Bertman. He didn't coach as long as most to achieve what he did, and he retired fairly early and only a year removed from a national title. Bianco has been a head coach for 25 years. Bertman only coached 18 seasons. That it's taken Bianco 7 more years to almost catch him in wins speaks to how great Bertman was.
Bertman had a career .724 winning% overall, .673 in the SEC, and .754 in the NCAAT (an NCAA record)

so what I gathered from that is Bianco >>>> Bertman?

I'll stay out of the all-time discussion cause you wrapped it up pretty well. And this is just based on what they've done in the league, but currently, IMO -
1. Corbs - 20 wins in Omaha last 10 seasons. 4 finals, 2 nattys, hasn't missed a postseason since 2005.
2. Sully - Consistently great. Most SEC wins in last decade if I'm not mistaken.
3. Bianco - sorry DVH, but he's here now.
4. DVH
5. Lemonis - can a terribly disappointing season cancel out a natty? No, but it drops him down my list a little.
6. Vitello - probably sitting on something big over there.
7. Schloss
8. Thompson - never really thought about Auburn baseball in the last 20 years until he arrived.
9. Johnson - gotta do something in this league first, but tons of potential to move up here
10- all the others

Lemonis is the only one I’d argue…. He has to maintain for a while.
Good list
Good list

You're conceding Corbs as best SEC coach even though:

people never say these type things about UK basketball or Alabama football, i really don't get it. Baseball of all sports is the least 'just roll the ball out there and let talent take over" type of sport. It's not luck that Corbs has had so much success, and everybody knows how fickle and unpredictable baseball can be. (look at UT and ole Miss this year)

Congrats on the title.... Please stop with Bianco being in the same zip code as Bertman, that's like putting Les Miles in the conversation with Saban

Top 3 by any metric.

Bertman and Corbs both played 5 card stud with 8 cards.
Bertman coached when only msu cared about baseball and used TOPS to load teams, it was smart.

Only MSU cared you say..... What about all the teams he bitch slapped right outta Omaha? Go lay down clown

Agreed. His LSU teams struck fear in everyone's hearts when they played and to deny that is a lie. And LSU didn't act like douche bags like a current non CWS team this year.

Vandy baseball was trash before Corbs got there. He made it the powerhouse that it has become. Can’t penalize him from benefiting from his own accomplishments.
And the Vandy scholarship situation has been debunked a million times- but sure, we cheat if it makes you guys feel better.

If you don't think there is a lot more parity in baseball today vs. Bertman's era you are crazy. He was still a great coach though.
