The Bielema thing?

Granted, I'm pushing that one hard. I just figure if the SECr is going to make such a big deal about Media Day last year and hold it against us for a long long time, that Bielema shite shouldn't be let go. I figure equating it to Mizzou will make it stick in the minds of the southern folk that already don't like Mizzou. That way I can reap what I sow when he shits on himself.

Yeah maybe the Yanks should've left the South be so they could have all the best athletes and whip the south's arse in sports

frickers didn't even want to play YANKEE teams during segragation. You know because they had COLOREDS on their teams. If they really want to get down to the nitty gritty.... A LOT of blacks down south don't care for the SEC, that's why you don't see many in the stands, wearing the gear, etc.

How in the hell do athletes that read at a 7th-8th grade reading level get into a flagship school?? Only in the SEC.... Why do some of them get tutors in HS so they can play at LSU, Ole Miss, Miss State, Bama, etc. I bet they don't care about the blacks that's not good in sports, nobody gives a damn about their education.

Go ask some people in the ACC, BIG, PAC 12 and blacks down south about the type of players the SEC schools recruit. Mizzou better get their faculty in line if you want to play football in the SEC.

Enjoyed The Heitelberg and CJ's. probably would of enjoyed those places much more without the boys.

I hear what you're saying but there's lots to be said about enjoying the games with your boys too. I got a 13 year old and we'll go to the little league park here just to hang out and watch games. Good times in their own way.

Mizzou once refused to play Nebraska because Nebraska had a black player on their team. Mizzou chose to forfeit and take a 6-0 loss rather than take the field against him.

Missouri along with the rest of the South, also made interracial marriage illegal until 1967 LINK

Facts have never gotten in the way of them calling us yankees, don't know why it would start now. But that is a very nice little gem you found..

True. They go out of their way to deny that we're no different than them.

These maps also align perfectly with the one from my previous post regarding race laws...I see a pattern in which Missouri is consistently included with the SOUTH.

ETA: Damn I just noticed Oklahoma on that map. Strange how Missouri and Oklahoma is a lot different from Kansas. Hmmmm. Wonder why.

Yeah, what people call a "soft drink" is much more indicative of a state's culture than the dominant religion, history, or laws of that state................

Maybe it has something in common with why Missouri and kansas (not just the colleges but the states themselves) hate each other.......

The STL area reminds me of Southern Louisiana with it's strong french/catholic background.

Excellent observation. They do indeed have a lot of cultural similarities. New Orleans and STL hold the 2 largest (respectively) Mardi Gras too.

Plus, occasionally, a good portion of it is underwater.

I was hoping a Missouri fan bumped this thread because they actually scored a run three games in the series. Ooo impressive.
