This guy has even less credibility than Clay Travis and they probably used the same source on VolQuest. There is no proof this happened from any reputable source. Arkansas media people say this is all bullshite and I'll believe them over some hack from Knoxville. 100% promise you Barnes was not contacted by the University of Arkansas. The three coaches seriously considered were Sampson, Marshall, and Musselman.

What's really funny is the dude probably got his source from a random poster on VolQuest. It's pretty embarrassing how they are latching to this story with zero proof. I can counter this by saying that Mike Irwin said that its bullshite and he was pretty spot on during the search.

Except it wasnt a subpar hire. We will be back next year, Muss is a fantastic coach. I'd take him over Barnes 150x over.

Nope, I believe it didn't happen because lack of national media attached to it. I didn't believe half the stuff being reported by the Arkansas media either. It is a very homer thing to just trust local sports media.

That’s because it wasn’t that big of a story. Arkansas isn’t a big deal anymore and by the time anyone found out he had already turned it down. The only people making it a big deal are you guys.

Name 15 schools with a better resume of Fan support, tradition, facilities, banners, and etc.

Ok, was trying to actually avoid the trolling but I guess there is no point. All P5 programs get national media reports during coaching searches. We had reports from national media involving many different coaches. The excuse you used wouldn't make any sense.
If you want to believe the story because your local media reported it, cool. I don't tend to just believe my local sports media because they are the only ones that reported it. I'm not even saying it can't be true but you used the word literally trying to prove this was a certain thing that couldn't be denied.
