But Saban gets something. Gets to say he coached both in college.

Wouldn't surprise me. We all know Bama players are gun tote'n weed smokers.
Funny coming from a guy who's college football team is based in that 3rd world, war torn, demilitarized zone known as Baton Rogue...

Was gonna ask about this. I understand that Bama honors permits from other states. Raekwon is from MS, a constitutional carry state, so how would that work? Is any registration required?

Can he confirm whether or not the bar was air conditioned?

Plaxico got jail time because of NYC's gun laws. The statutory minimum jail time in New York for unlawful possession of a handgun is 3.5 years, a felony (he also was charged with reckless endangerment, also a felony). Pretty sure in Alabama that same offense is a misdemeanor. Everything isn't about Saban.

Yep. There's a reason it's called "Glock Leg."
I think Bama needs to institute a formal handgun training program for the team. Maybe a target range too....

Nope, had nothing to do with Plaxico shooting himself...he was jailed for criminal possession of a handgun...
it was both. He was charged with reckless endangerment for the gun being discharged in a club.

I'm not sure you can just carry a gun, in public, in any State without a permit. Some States, like Florida, allow you to keep one in your vehicle without a permit.

"Guys, it's fine I'm sure Raekwon Davis was open carrying"
He's outside a bar dipshit

think you can carry a gun without a permit in one state, Alaska, but you have to be 21. But yes, several states don't require a permit to carry a handgun in your vehicle, as those states extended the castle doctrine to include vehicles.

Regardless, let's all move on and stop fricking up my Varsity Blues hypothetical

10 to 1 there's a range somewhere in that training complex. That place is like the CIA's Murder Mountain facility. Secret levels that only REC member with top clearance even know about.
The bottom dungeon is where Saban digs those monster D-linemen out of scorched earth like Saruman harvesting Uruk-hai

I feel like if you shot yourself you'd have more than a "very minor" injury. I've never been shot, much less by myself, though so what do I know.

Just a rumor, but prolly so. Wouldn't exactly stun me.

Yes, you can. Vermont as an example does not require a permit to open carry.
Now if this establishment served alcohol and especially if he was drinking, he would be in trouble. I don't know how much trouble.

There are quite a few states that allow it. In Alabama, you've got to have a permit to have a handgun concealed on your person but you can walk down the street with it on your hip and you're perfectly legal.

One of the single most misused jokes on the rant. On Jeopardy!, the contestants answer in the form of a question and they select a category (which is not in the form of a question) with the dollar amount. Also, the clues are in multiples of $200, so $500 would never be a realistic amount.
For your example, it would go something like: "I'll take 'Differences in State Gun Laws' for $1,000, Alex".

Most people don't understand this. Concealed carry is more regulated than open carry.
The interesting thing is a lot of states ban carrying altogether in establishments that serve alcohol, no idea if AL is one.
