Thats strong for a first year starter in the SEC.
Carson Beck was also a first year starter and only has 26 TDs for the 2023 season

This is such a weird stat to me, after seeing how crisp he looked the last several games of the season.
He was trending like a Top 3-4 QB off the board towards the end, and then he had a come-apart vs Alabama. Bama dropped 4 INTs in the SECCG while only rushing 4 on every play. Weird game for him and Bobo.

Top two pass catchers hobbled, 4th best out all together. OL missing two starters. Just wasn’t our year and Bama was really good.

The two best D's Beck played in 2023 were Bammer and Aubbie. He only had 1-TD passing and 2-Turnovers in those games

Pssshh. That’s only because he ran for 11 touchdowns against us. Take away that game and he and beck are pretty close. Beck didn’t get the benefit of playing our shitty defense.

No one knew how he would respond if pressured.
Now we know that just like most college QBs not named Jayden Daniels it still needs some work.

He was 21-29 for 243 yards, 1 rushing TD on the goal line. Two best playmakers were hobbled as well. Not exactly a come-apart. Definitely should have picked him off a few times though.

If we catch just 2 of the 4 balls that hit our defense in the hands, what does it look like?
I do agree his timing was likely thrown off by Bama’s pass rush and his primary targets being hobbled.
