Not that I would expect an Ole Miss fan to understand anything about the proper way to handle national championship labels... But the team who wins the national championship game is considered the National Champion for that football season. That logo you referenced is the logo for the 2016 CFB Playoff. Bama is the 2015 National Champions... The 2016 CFB Playoff Champions.
It's why LSU is the 2003 & 2007 National Champs (NC games were played in 2004 & 2008). Florida is the 2006 and 2008 National Champs (2007 & 2009), Bama is the 1992, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015... All of those championship games were played in January of the following year.

I mean, if that was our only display for our NC's you'd be right. But that's only the display for our most recent. And helmets are expensive.

4-5 of those titles are from one or two insignificant polls those aren't recognized by CFB purists. Bama has about 11 legit National titles.
That being said Bama is the best all time program in CFB history. Notre Dame is 2nd and they have 3-4 bogus titles also.

Awesome, and seeing those 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2016 Helmets together really puts Saban's accomplishments front & center.
"The Bear" should've had a similar run with the addition of a 1966 helmet in that picture. He still made history despite all that though.
We Bama fans have been very blessed.
