I'm not agreeing with him, but Julio was targeted less than Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez last season, if he was far and away the most targeted player on his team like Calvin was, his stats would've been scary. Not Calvin scary, but still scary nonetheless.
How in the hell does this help your argument if he's the #3 guy on his own team?

He's clearly the best target his team has, but Ratt Myan would rather throw it to White and Gonzalez. He is the third option because they literally have Matt Ryan making the decisions.

No question for me, I would take Luke Joeckel #1 if I was K.C.
Branden Albert is good but nothing special. I would move him over to the right side and put Joeckel on the left side to give Smith 5 second pockets.

He was terrible against Texas A&M. Wouldn't draft him in the first three rounds...
i don't really remember him giving up too many plays. There was that one TD pass, but he really had good coverage. perfect throw and catch. anyway, dumbass statement.
eta: Just looked at highlights. He gave up exactly one play, and it was the touchdown. Damn near perfect coverage. Perfect throw, and great catch. STFU.

Yet is thrown to less than 2 other guys.
You make ZERO sense

Passing league. The first pick should be used to help yours or hurt the opponent's.
That's illogical. A CB can cover only one person at a time. Furthermore, it's a position that's out of place to have continuous affect on the run game. It would be far more efficient to take an elite pass rusher 1st overall, or a QB or an OT.
By your logic, taking a WR #1 overall would be an advisable move. and let's face it, you don't need an elite CB if you have a DE who has already put the QB in the ground.

Its just a weird #1. Corners dont have as much of an effect ad other players. Theres a reason why corners have never gone first overall. Then again this is a weak draft for normal #1 picks so i guess it can happen this year. Just a weird #1

Come on the kid has big time talent. Hope for the day we can consistently get CB's of his caliber at AU, or even inconsistently.

probably just being a homer.....but if a team can see Milliner as a Patrick Peterson type that can put points on the board as a returner
If he had Peterson's return skills plus his coverage abilities coming out of college, it would still be a bad pick at #1 but would at least generate some excitement in the fan base and pose a lower risk of bust but without those skills there's no reason to drat Milliner that high

That's the main reason for it. Joeckel is the closest thing to a sure bet franchise player in this draft. There definitely isn't an obvious franchise DL or QB. If the Chiefs think they are OK at LT or just aren't sold on Joeckel I can see why they'd just go BPA. They can't trade out of the spot due to the nature of this draft class.

It's hard to trade out of #1 overall, back in '06 when Casserly had the top spot for the Texans, GMs were asking him for compensation for moving up. Of course, that was before this current CBA.
I doubt the Chiefs stick there, but it's a plausible pick if they do. Maybe Shariff Floyd since they are likely to kick Jackson and/or Dorsey out of town.
Though a is a 3-4 lineman going #1 any less strange than a CB?

The same guy who said Julio is better than Calvin Johnson. What a clown.
I hate to say this but Brandt has been making some Corso like analysis this year but I'm not aware that he's had any medical issues
He's been a guest on Jox Roundtable a couple of times in the past and I've enjoyed him but for the past few months he's made some weird statements

I dont see Milliner as a #1 pick. He's a solid 6-10 type pick. However, Milliner is a much better CB than Kirkpatrick was in my opinion. Along with CJ Mosley, Milliner was the best player on our defense last season.

True lock down corners have a huge impact on the game. Therefore, DMilli obviously is being considered a true lock down CB.
Saban just doing work with his DBs. 4 1st round DBs in the last 4 years

I wouldn't take him #1 ovr if I was KC, but having Milliner and EB in the same secondary would be sick as hell.

Sure. But not as much as dominant pass rushers. Players like von miller, aldon smith, jj watt, etc are more valuable than someone like revis.
