Just putting out some info... regarding LA laws

quote:

LA R.S. 14:69.1 Illegal possession of stolen firearms

A.(1) Illegal possession of stolen firearms is the intentional possessing, procuring, receiving, or concealing of a firearm which has been the subject of any form of misappropriation.
(2) It shall be an affirmative defense to a prosecution for a violation of this Section that the offender had no knowledge that the firearm was the subject of any form of misappropriation.
(3) It shall be an affirmative defense to a prosecution for a violation of this Section that the alleged offender has or had possession of the firearm pursuant to his regular course of business, is in possession of a valid federal firearms license, is routinely in the possession of firearms for sale, pawn, lease, rent, repair, modification, or other legitimate acts as part of his normal scope of business operations, and is enforcing a privilege pursuant to R.S. 9:4502.
B. Whoever commits the crime of illegal possession of firearms shall be punished as follows:
(1) For a first offense, the penalty shall be imprisonment, with or without hard labor, for not less than one year nor more than five years.

It's going to be tough to make this stick I'm guessing. Patton and the other Bama poster may be right here. The charge may end up being reduced from a felony.

They sure don't look scared. Look like they are more concerned with looking "hard" in their mugshots for their homies.

Both should definitely be gone. We'll see, Mr Saban

Ouch - that one stings a bit.

Have to admit - sick side of me feels a slight tinge of glee that two native LA prospects - 1 projected 1st rounder, who left and went to Alabama are in a pickle. I know - sick sense of justice. But damn - why do these kids fook up like this? Sucks. Chances are Jones is done, and who knows how bad things can end up for him. Robinson - who knows - this stolen gun deal aint good. Bad deal - but bad deals many times come from bad choices. Riding around with weed and guns - you aint exactly trying to steer clear of trouble. And sooner or later - you gonna get pinched.

New tradition with SEC O-linemen? Collins, Tunsil now Robinson?

Someone posted earlier that Jones was in hot water to begin with - has he been in trouble before?

There's no way I see him serving jail time but there is probably a very very good chance he's off the team. The bad PR and negative recruiting may not be worth one year of Cam.

"Celebrating injuries is a despicable act."

Agreed. But apples to oranges. Injuries happen during the course of a football game. Stolen guns and drugs don't just happen.

If everything is as it seems I hope they are both shown the door. I wouldn't be shocked if they aren't. Whether it is 100% genuine or not (or good policy), Saban doesn't like booting kids.

I didn't like signing Taylor, I didn't like bringing back Pettway and I certainly wouldn't like keeping these guys. But I wouldn't be shocked if we did if things are pleaded down.

shite Robinson is 6'6" 320#, I would think in central lockup he could go in wearing a halter top and singing show tunes and still be relatively safe.
