OU was missing half a team due to covid for those losses. Also recruiting rankings don’t seem to matter when Kstate or Iowa state play SEC teams and beat them?

By years end this could be as good an Alabama defense overall as Saban has fielded, yes I said it.
One reason is depth. They can go 8 deep or more up front with experience, they are loaded at Linebacker and the secondary has experience everywhere.
If the Sooners have OL problems God help Spencer Rattler because he will take a beating.

The talent is there, but they were decently young last year. Started a true freshman at left tackle early in the year. Missed a few guys with covid early, just seemed to take a few games to gel. Once we got our RB back, we started running the ball better. No doubt, that Tide defense should be really good this year. Better be careful, the Aggie faithful are fired up this year!
