Good defense + crowd noises worries me.

Impossible ... Army could have passed for 400 yards against that secondary.
Its insane and improbable to such a degree I find it hard to accept as real.
Going into the year the year Bama was getting talked about as having one of if not the best secondaries in the country. It was supposed to be the strength of the entire team.
You had:
-preseason AA safety
-a 5th year senior who was an NFL prospect
-1-2nd rd corner on one side
-former 5* CB who is 6'4 and getting major NFL buzz
-a bunch of nickel types who were well thought of going into the year
-a 5* TF CB learning the ropes
End result?? 102nd against the pass adjusted for opponent.

Its LSU passing vs Alabama pass defense with a huge question as to whether Zabien Brown can even play this week.
LSU is 17th in opponent adjusted passing YPA and Bama is 102nd in defending the pass.
Bama statistically is as bad somehow in the secondary as LSU was the heisman year for Daniels.
If Kane sits in a soft zone LSU will march up and down the field all day, if he doesn't we will see Lane Kiffin throw at Dijon Lee vertically the entire day because he is a master at exploiting weaknesses and Lee has been that all season when asked to cover.
That's certainly the big concern for Bama. However, their defense creates a lot of turnovers in the passing game with those disguised zones too.
Story of the game may be how well Leavitt reads the zones and avoids getting baited into interceptions.

Thats exactly right.
Its a bend dont break zone swarm to the ball scheme designed to bait turnovers with occasional complicated looks that generally plays much better in the red zone but rarely does anything between the 20s to force consistent three and outs.
I suspect if Dijon Lee were benched for Chuck McDonald who is a functional corner and a safety I wont name was replaced with Ivan Taylor it would be a top 25 type group because the corners wouldnt be sitting in 10-15 yard cushions but its questionable with Brown hurt whether we ever see the change made.

For LSU, the pass rush
If your D line can keep rush lane integrity that will be the difference. If not, I'm sure it's been preached to Keelon for two weeks now, if he sees an opening take off a go. And that could slow down the rush just enough to give him time to make some throws.

I refuse to let myself get caught up in the run up to this game due to my Bama vs LSU ptsd over the last nearly two decades.
Go ahead and let it go. LSU will put Bama away after the 1st qtr.
