I can tell the difference between humor and assholishness, normally.
Example: Tiger_in_Miami is ROUGH on a lot of people, but I like him. I don't know why. Maybe he reminds me of me.

I really don't want you to be mad at me.....I want us to be friends and discuss football.
I'll start:
Do you think Hightower will be an adequate replacement for McClain?

Agree with everything except I think BJ Scott starts opposite Dre and Phelon plays in the Nickel.

Where is the 5-star recruit Tyler Love?

Still trying to gain weight (6-7 290 is pretty lean for an OT at Bama) , he's in the two deep, but I just don't see him cracking the line up this year. He'll only be a Sophomore this year, so he still has time.

Hasn't panned out yet. Hope he does. Supposed to be a great kid.

I hope BJ does get to start, but I just hadn't heard crap about how well he is doing.

Probably see a good deal of Micheal Bowman too.

"just saying.. an inexperienced secondary is going to cost Bama 2 games. just IMHO of course."
lsu experts said the same thing about Greg Mcelroy.

I disagree, Norwood didn't even see any PT last year. Bowman at least made it on the field. I do agree about Lacy though.

So, Love has only gained 5 lbs in two years of strength and conditioning? Is the S&C coach retarded/incompetent? What's the deal?

No, Scott Cochran is one of the best in the business. Not really sure what the deal is. Some guys just have trouble adding both muscle and weight past a certain point. Genetics, it's a bitch.

We've been arguably the most physical team in the conference the past two years, the S&C guy has obviously done a good job. Most guys that they wanted to put on weight have, not sure what the issue with Love is. Apparently he just has a hard time keeping it on, I'm sure they've got him on some ridiculously high calorie diet but its been slow going.

NT,
I totally missed this post. Wasn't ignoring you.
I think Hightower will do a good job for two reasons. He spent the entire season learning all the calls... watching what Ro did... and making calls from the sideline for Nico.
The other reason is, his physical gifts (believe it or not) are superior to Rolando's. Before his injury, he was bigger, faster, and stronger than McClain. If his knee is good to go, he'll be better than Ro was.

Hightower says he expects to be better than 100% by game time. I guess meaning, 100% physically with a year more of experience.
