The article you are quoting was written by Tommy Deas in October 2014. Did they have a time machine?
Alabama men's basketball revenue, attendance is down - Tommy Deas, Tuscaloosa News, 10-26-14

Sure as shite will.
I will never post here again if NYC can show me that for the 2015-2016 season Bama put 4,000 people in seats per game.

Using one year to try and prove a point about an entire program

Which works out to be down roughly 2,500 per home game.
Which means, outside of that outlier season, our butt in seat average was around 6,500-7,000 under ANTHONY GRANT.

Equating the 2013-2014 season to the average of Alabama basketball support would be like me taking the average attendance for Auburn in 2012 and saying that's the norm.
Wouldn't make much sense.
Wouldn't make much sense.

For one year, the 3rd worst season in program history and one that started with discontent for the coach already in place.
Butt in seat attendance was not 4,000 people this year or 90% of seasons.
There are also statements and articles that state this doesnt fluctuate by much.
I am not sure why you guys are having a hard time with this. I told you how it happens. Its not like its a secret.
Next I am sure I you will tell me that you believe alabama has sold out all their football games for 20+ years. Again despite Alabama records stating the opposite.
Is it really something that wads your panties up that much?

38,000 over 14 or so games is about 2,500 - 3,000 a game. That's quite a drop.

I'm not having a hard time with anything. I don't claim to think we pack the house everynight, but we certainly don't generally average 1/3 of our arena being full.

Your very own quote said it fluctuated by 38,000 from the PREVIOUS YEAR.

That's a fluctuation of 2,500 per game from the previous year.
Just admit you were wrong. It's not a big deal, bud.

How would the information Tommy Deas got from the University for an article in October 2014 contain data from the 2014-2015 season?
That doesn't make sense.

Ban bet is still on the table for me.
Are you willing to take it, NYCAuburn?
Show me that Bama basketball attendance was ~4,000 per game for the 2015-2016 season, and I will never post here again. If you can't, you're gone.
Deal?

Louisville has the best arena deal in the country thanks to back door Jefferson County politics. Do some research on your own since I'm sure my word will be discredited as a Kentucky fan. They also benefit significantly from alcohol sales being allowed at games.

Im wrong. I actually showed you a number of actual attended. you haven't proven me wrong on anything, except show your number that states it doesnt correlate to actual attendance

That arena is a total boondoggle isn't it? Something about sponsorship agreements not being enough to cover debt payments? I remember reading an article about it a year or so ago and it sounded like a total nightmare.

Well, I certainly showed - from your own information that you provided - that the number you were using was an outlier, based on a season in which attendance dropped 38,000 from the previous year, but for some reason you're still trying to pretend that it's the norm.
