I don't remember the play in question, but calling this cheating without actually seeing where the runner is down or out of bounds is ridiculous.
Have you considered the possibility that the referee saw the runner go down or out of bounds at the stick then incorrectly marked the spot with his foot and then looked to correct his initial mistake?
I'm not saying this is the case, but the editing of the video to cut out the play is odd. The case for cheating would be much more compelling if we could see where the ball should have been spotted by watching the play.

You will now down to Alabama in the Fall and to Kentucky in the Winter, understand? Very occasionally there will be seasons when we will allow you to exercise a win or two to keep you interested.
All hail the fiefdom of Bamatucky!

Is it not common knowledge that we run this conference?
Do we? According to the Bayou Bengals, LSU has been the team to beat and runs the show.

Sorry, but why would we have to explain a ref spotting a ball? Because he looked back to see where the field judge was telling him to spot the ball?
Do you have another angle of what the field ref was telling him where to put the ball? Please share.
LINK
Also, it was the correct spot if you look at the play.
also, why would the refs cheat for us in the first quarter against fricking OM.

After he looked at the field judge. Also, is a ref not allowed to look behind him. It was obviously the right spot where the WR went down.

Question for Auburn fans:
Did you guys think that the illegal touching on that onside kick was a good call? I thought it was perfectly executed, and was very surprised that they called it illegal touching.

No way it even mattered. We spotted them too many points off turnovers (not that they wouldn't have scored anyway without the turnovers). Their line completely blew us off the ball at the start of the game.
