because there is a crack in the armor. After dominating college football for the past 5 years, Alabama, understandably, has stuck with what has worked well for them. The problem is that other teams have adapted to find success against what Alabama is doing. The big slow defensive linemen dedicated to stopping the inside run are being negated by quick strike offenses running misdirection plays. This is especially true when facing a mobile qb.

The offense is designed for controlling the ball and overpowering the opponent's defense. The offensive lineman are also very large and sometimes not that quick. We saw the problem with the O line magnified in the Sugar bowl with the smaller, quicker OK defnsive line --especially Striker off the end.

Alabama is built like a professional team. We are designed to beat the big, strong teams like LSU that want to hit you in the mouth. In the future, we need to be better prepared to play the smaller, trickier teams that aren't interested in going head-to-head.

That being said, the OK qb played the game of his life last night. That is what it takes to beat Alabama. If he can build on that performance, they will soon be in the NC hunt.

Yes going from 1 loss to 2 losses is a major sign of vulnerability. Ship is sinking

Shouldn't we call in the armorer instead?

Alabama's goal is not to win 10 or 11 games a year. It is to win the Natty. That is why all of those recruits come.

12-2
14-0 (NC)
10-3
12-1 (NC)
13-1 (NC)
11-2

Whoa is me.

I do think the proliferation of HUNH offenses will cause Saban and Smart to switch to a more versatile base defense rather than their heretofore very successful strategy of multiple special situational packages and lots of subbing because the HUNH largely renders that kind of strategy moot.

Alabama's defensive recruiting is already reflecting this change. Alabama is recruiting leaner quicker guys in the front seven than they have in years past.

I think they missed Jeremy Pruitt in the press box working plays but, having so much success and having the ability to keep the majority of coaching together and replacing most of what has moved on with equal or better is ground breaking.

UF never gave Urban that commitment and support and they are now paying the price.

I don't like the red shirt SOB's but, shite they have one hell of a program.

Pruitt & company will eat Auburn alive Monday night that MF don't ever stop working the mix.

If AU wins this year and bama wins the next 2, does the dynasty continue?

Are you asking if it will be a dynasty if Alabama wins two more NCs in 2014 and 2015 (thus 5 out of the last 7)?

So since 2008 it would look something like this:

12-2
14-0 (NC)
10-3
12-1 (NC)
13-1 (NC)
11-2
15-0/14-1 (NC)
15-0/14-1 (NC)

Uh, yes the dynasty would be fully intact. Alabama won't be the odds on favorite to win it next year (which may be a good thing at this point), but they will be in the running to make it to the playoff and possibly win it again.
