They won't be bad but won't stay at the same level as with Saban

True. Given that Saban easily has another 5 years left--I think our athletic department goes out and spends big money to bring in another top flight coach.
There will be a lot of coaches interested in the job since they know Saban has done a great job rebuilding the foundation of the program at Alabama. Look how Saban left the program at LSU. Miles was able to take over and win a NC very quickly after Saban left. Its hard to speculate who will be the next coach at Alabama since Saban will be on our sidelines for atleast the next several years. Either way we will be in great shape for years to come.

Sabans a great program builder and is great from an organizational standpoint, but he has many flaws.

Still very good but there will be some drop off after Saban. The program is a machine and seems to run itself. Still Saban is the best in the business and that means something

Of course there will be a drop, but the OP asked if Bama could remain dominant. With the right coach, the answer is yes.

Yep. Most already know that Bama has a coaching legend currently running the program. He's the best coach college football has seen in some time and you don't just replace that imo.

Then my answer is yes...

Alabama can always stay a dominant force. They can slip, i.e. Shula, Perkins, Curry, Dubose, francione. But they can always rebound, i.e., Saban, Stallings.
I hate playing them, and yet i love playing them!
AAAhhh, college football!!!

No way Saban stays another 10 years. He'd be in his 70's. I give it 5 years, tops.

Let me put it this way, Bama won't be the national champ and SEC runner up in the same year ever again once Saban leaves.

5 would be the max. Probably more like 3. He has the team to get done again this year.
Bama loses too much off the O-line after this year to compete in 2013.
I think if he gets another title he will call it quits.

Who do you think hangs up the headset first? Saban or Ole Ball Coach? Hey that might be a good offseason thread. Probably germans though.

Saban sucks. Bama could continue if they hire the right coach.
