each.and.every.single.one. of these has absolutely nothing to do with how good of a college coach he'll be.

When will Bama fans start saying they never wanted Gregg Marshall and Johnson was their #1 all along?

I think he could be a solid hire for Bama.

However, I do think you are portraying him to be a bit better than he actually is.

And the best thing was how Bill Battle played Gregg Marshall while all along we were working out the details with AJ. AJ was our main target all along, don't believe the media that tells you otherwise!!!

Obviously Bama fans are insecure with this hire.

Pay no attention to the OP.

For the last several seasons he'd show up at the start of basketball season pumping Grant sunshine, making outlandish predictions, and denigrate anyone who disagreed. Once the detractors were once again proved right he'd disappear.

He's pretty much auburnphan in crimson.

This is a very low risk/high reward hire.
Just say this. Only reasonable thing I can agree with you on. He's an exciting hire; wait and see if he's a good hire.

How exactly did you come to this number? He had 2 60-win seasons in 7 as a HC in the NBA. You must be doing some advanced math nobody has ever heard of.

That's actually damn impressive. Why is this supposedly not that good of a hire?

Nice try... you think Howland is more connected and respected than Avery? Bwwaaaahahaha

Seems like your coach wasn't in very high demand over the last few years either... what makes him a better hire than Johnson?

Just watch when they go head to head.

Because he did NOT average over 60-wins a season at the highest level.

In fact, he had 60 TOTAL wins as the HC of the Nets for 3 seasons

He has 440 wins in 7 seasons (I'm sure that probably counts playoffs) I got the 440 from the newspaper ... that could be wrong. I Don't know. And iDGAF

Avery Johnson is the best hire this year and likely best since Calipari signed with UK.
