Absolutely not, and they shouldn't with a UGA loss. I've said forever, a 2 loss team has no business in a national championship scenario.
When the playoffs are expanded, conference champs should get an invite AS LONG as they have no more than 1 loss. No 9-3 teams in. It's about the best teams in America, not some conference champ who lost 4 games but upset an undefeated team as a 10 point dawg.
Bama has to win out, period.

How about Auburn 2013? LSU 2019? Auburn 2019? Clemson 2018? Auburn 2017?
I think there might be a picture of Saban and Alabama right next to that picture of Smart and Georgia.
Every program that ever existed has choked at one time or other and they have done it on multiple times. Yes. Georgia and Alabama included.

The difference being, Bama has 3 titles following up those losses. When Georgia chokes, they follow it up with a choke the next year:
UGA CFP title game loss --> 2018 LSU blowout --> 2018 SEC title game choke --> 2019 loss to unranked SC at home --> 2019 SEC title game blowout --> 2020 beatdown in Tuscaloosa --> pathetic blowout against UF
It's best not to compare UGA to Bama until they actually win something.

I doubt we beat Auburn to even make it to the SECCG. And our Sugar Bowl appearances outside the playoffs have been pitiful, so not that broken up about it.
Can’t win it all every year. Get these guys some experience, overhaul the coaching staff again…at least on defense…cull the fat on the OL and come back next year. I have no problem watching Bama mutilate a Big 10 team in the Citrus Bowl.
