Agreed.

Wouldn't bet against it.

But pigs have been known to fly over T-Town.

Mett could transform back into the Mettsiah for one magical night before turning back into a Jamie Howard pumpkin after midnight.

Add to it that Bama only punted the ball 5 times, total, in the month of October.

The defense gave up 3 FGs to Furman, one of which came from a muffed punt in the red zone. The TD was a pick six. Since you're keeping up and all.

And besides, are defense is fricking horrible this year.

Was just pointing out that no matter who you play 151-0 first half scoring is an amazing feat... And trying to discredit that based on opponents is quite retarded.

I think Bama can beat Oregon, but FSU is looking like the best team in America right now. They're just purely dominating everybody. When's the last time a team shut out another ranked team 63-0? Never? I think Never is the correct answer.

maryland being ranked was as big a joke as USC being preseason #1 last year, perhaps even bigger than that actually

We aren't talking about just the defense. We are talking a complete team. As well rounded as a team can possibly be in every area of the game.

But you wouldn't know anything about that would you?

Stop scoreboard watching. Mett gave them 7. Beckham gave them 3. The defense gave up 6pts.

eta: And we know our defense is shite this year.

And the offensive line didn't allow a single sack in the month of October. :inb4BamaDoesn'tGetCalledForHolding:

That's 3 more FGs in 1 half against a single FCS opponent than Bama's D has given up in the first half of the past 6 games combined.

They sure our.

Those have all been put not only to rest, but completely buried.

Buried by a healthy dose of GA State, Kentucky, Arkansas, a craptastic Bro Wallace, and Big Orange....whew yep they buried it alright.

All this remains to be seen.

I think overall, we're probably a better team.

I too, was concerned with the O-line coming into the season, and the defense.

The O-line seems to be gelling together quite nicely after a tumultuous start. While not as good as last yr perhaps, they're pretty dang good right now. Some improvements I see:

2012 sacks allowed 23
2013 sacks allowed 7 so far

2012 rushing yards per play 5.59 37 TD's
2013 rushing yards per play 5.94 19 TD's so far

2012 passing TD's 31
2013 passing TD's 18

2012 Scoring pts per game 38.7
2013 Scoring pts per game 41.3

We're only having to punt on average, 3 times a game.

Downside, we've had more turnovers

2012 Turnover margin +1 per game
2013 Turnover margin +.63 per game

Defensively, overall, I think we're better. We've given up more yardage, but have been stingier when it comes to points.

2012 defense yards per play given up 4.18
2013 defense yards per play given up 4.81

2012 scoring defense per game 10.9
2013 scoring defense per game 9.8 so far

Special teams, has been nothing short of spectacular this season.

Christion Jones leads the nation in kickoff returns with 32.69 yds per attempt with a TD. Punting is averaging 46.41 yds per attempt.

FSU has the look of a team that can definitely win it all and it would be a classic matchup between them and Bama in the BSCG.

Oregon wants Bama though and I hope they get their wish.

I could be wrong but didnt he play against LSU?

maybe him being craptastic had something to do with the defense?

We will crush Oregon if we meet in Pasadena. They are a run heavy team and that's just not a recipe for success against Alabama.

I am concerned that perception might not be reality. Has BAMA improved because the October schedule was so favorable?

BAMA dominated a good Tennessee team though. I just don't know?

I think the real test for this team is to come: LSU & Auburn..
