I'm not saying it's a regular occurrence. My father just happened to have a long business relationship with the dealership GM when I've been given a weekend test drive, so I'm guessing I just got special treatment.

If you've bought 20 cars from the same dealership, I think it's plausible that they give you a weekend test-drive upon request. 20 purchases would make you an important customer, imho.

FWIW, a man (woodruff) can give another man (peaches) a $2,500 loan, no problem... friends helping friends... how would someone be able to prove it's "payment" for Calloway?... you couldn't

BC personally received no benefit. This isn't like Julio & Mark on the fishing trip. There is no amount received by the player that can br donated to charity.
I maintain that this was handle the "right" wrong way, and Bama is going to be ok. However, I do believe BC may have to sit a tbd # of games.
Also, don't blame REC & don't blame Bama. This is one family "friend" who also happens to like Bama football (not alum, booster, or to my knowledge a season ticket holder). Saban and the other coaches that speak at REC meetings almost always say something along the lines of "we appreciate your support of the program but we don't need or want assistance with recruiting". This is hammered out consistently.

FWIW, I don't think Lee is just lying about this... afterall, people were talking about the Cam/Cecil stuff on this board a full 8 months before ESPN wrote the article.... people called bullshite on the MSU fans, but in the end it was legit.

FWIW, I have no idea what happened in this situation, but myself and my family members have bought dozens of vehicles from this dealership in the past. I have had multi day test drives at least 3 or 4 different times. Sometimes I purchased the vehicle, sometimes I didn't, but to say that doesn't happen is just not factual or accurate.
