Since 2007, these are the number of SEC games played when the opponent had an open week prior to the game:
17—Alabama
5—LSU
4—Vanderbilt
4—Florida
4—Tennessee
3—Georgia
3—Auburn
2—Kentucky
1—Ole Miss
1—Mississippi State
0—Arkansas
0—South Carolina
17—Alabama
5—LSU
4—Vanderbilt

4—Tennessee
3—Georgia
3—Auburn
2—Kentucky
1—Ole Miss
1—Mississippi State
0—Arkansas

What a load of complete BS. And the crappy thing is that in 4-5 years the same thing is gonna happen to another SEC school, they'll complain, and the SEC will just say "sorry, we don't have the time or the resources right now to change everything just for one team".
Yep. It is not enough to have the refs and replay booth in your back pocket. I mean every year 2-3 questionable and critical calls all go in Bama's favor and clear replay evidence just gets ignored. Now this. Yep, the SEC office in bammerham is legit.

I've yet to see evidence that a bye week helps CFB teams. Especially good ones.
This.
Bye weeks, often times, give that team some trouble. It can really throw off the rhythm of the season if is comes at the wrong time. Bama will win though, they always do. If South Carolina or Arkansas were bitching I doubt the SEC offices even return their calls.

Auburn and Georgia disagree.

Kinda hurts your point. The SEC offices obviously make the schedule.

Yep. No way in hell bama should be able to bitch and cry and the league roll over. AU did not bitch to the SEC when they had to play UF,UGA,Bama back to back to back for a dozen years.

And what the frick has Auburn ever done to mean shite to the SEC office? A couple of undefeated seasons while your team was on probation and couldn't go to a bowl?

Tennessee and Auburn disagree. Doubt they could've hung around with Alabama as long as they did without the extra rest and the extra time to prepare and throw in some new stuff.

Tennessee fans might agree, but Auburn fans are convinced that Chizik >>> Saban and are in complete denial over the idea that them having 13 days to prepare against our 4 days to prepare might have had something to do with the close game.

As long as we get to keep our bye week before Alabama and vice versa...I don't care.

Long over due imo. Besides we're Alabama, the flagship of the SEC and we should be the ones getting all the breaks.
Glad the SEC office is nutting up and making the changes about the open weeks. When it is all said and done, Bama's opponents that will have a bye week before playing us will be reduced to 2.

This. It's BS.
shite ton of money spent bringing in teams to play just for the SEC to screw us out of it.
When they changed our schedule around last year, they promised to help bring in a quality OOC opponent. They didn't do shite and we were stuck with another FCS school.
