for 2011? I know Richardson is just as good if not better than Ingram, but not sold on Maze and Hankins and also McCarron. I know McElroy won without starting a game, but that is far from the norm. Look at JPW in 06 and 07 and those teams were stocked. Bama was top 5 in 05 before LSU beat them. Plus a few losses on D too, Dareus, etc. I think QB is the most important position and I realize JJ has his past, but I don't see him being terrible again this year and not having Mettenburger come in and improve the position. I guess call me a homer.

I agree, but that doesn't mean that Bama won't lose other games. If they lose 2 and LSU only loses to Bama, LSU wins the west.

We have a superior coaching staff (For the most part). And we play at Bama.

I think it's a toss-up. Both teams will be very good IMO. If I had to choose, I'd probably be Bama cuz that's my team but it could easily be the other way around.

We return 16 starters.

Four of five on the offensive line return.

Trent Richardson may be better than Ingram.

9 starters are back on defense, which finished 7th in the country in total defense. 3rd in scoring defense.

We have a great schedule. LSU and Arkansas at home.

this

Its hard for me to rank either one ahead of the other as they both could be VERY good teams next year. Schedule is always the determining factor in cases like this. And we haven't had a favorable one in a while it seems

The 2007 Alabama team was stocked? You mean the team that didn't have a player drafted for like the first time ever?

Not if they're not SEC games. Both teams play good OOC opponents away from home.

Now watch Alabama and LSU finish behind Ole Miss and Miss St.

Y'all have to drop this '08 J. Lee schtick. There have been several first year QBs win NC's in the BCS era, including the past two.

Stocked with what? Talent? You gotta be kidding me.

We have a chance to be really special on defense. I think that's the biggest thing. Not too mention that when were healthy up front and at RB we were still pretty good on offense.

Contrary to some of the Bammertards on here, we have put consecutive seasons of 3 of the most productive offenses in Bama history.

Who is your other good OOC opponent? Besides Penn St?

LSU has the tougher schedule. I think LSU goes 10-2 next year.. even if Crowton is here. I think we beat Bama again next year, but lose to someone we shouldn't.

Last I heard Bamas QB situation was up in the air anyways.. nobody knows who will be starting.
