In his SEC games he's had 50 yds+- and 0 TDs with less than 5ypc. Most of his stats came in the first game vs WSST.

His role is declining as the season has progressed but that could change.

He did have some nice long runs in the WSST game and is feast. Not sure if he'll be durable enough for the SEC games.

Corey Grant is playing with a bum ankle whihc has affected him these past two (SEC) games. I see his production going down due to one good early game skewing his stats but he should perform pretty well as the season progresses and his ankle gets back to good health

Also, Corey Grant was not made to be an Alabama RB. Some guys just don't fit what Alabama does on offense and that isn't a knock on them or Bama. Corey Grant should have seen that in recruiting ( surprised Alabama even wanted him that badly to be honest)

The jokes on Philon and the kid from Atlanta who went to Kentucky , 2 spots opened up at Bama last fall. Both players could have been on a national title team , instead they are at Arkansas & UK

So the joke is on a kid who took a "sure thing" scholarship rather than a "maybe" scholarship? What if his family couldnt afford to wait a year on the maybe? What if he never got one?

Kid did what was best for his situation.

He wrecked Washington State. I really doubt he does much moving forward. LSU's defense isn't strong and he had 9 yards. He hasn't hit the 45 yard mark in 3 of 4 games and he hasn't caught one pass.

I don't think Grant is a bad player but I don't think he's worth talking smack about. He still wouldn't see the field at most SEC schools.

A grey shirt is a sure thing , you enroll in late December or early January unless spots becomes available in the fall ( which always happens ) so that is what , a 4 month difference ? You gotta be shyting me with that B.S. !!!

2 Walkons were glad they didn't greyshirt , they got a full ride for their Sr. year.

We had a 4 star O-L grey shirt this year because he had an injury last fall ...... but a spot opened up and he is on campus already.

He would've been a Fall guy. So IF a spot opened he could have it. If not, he would have to pay his own way. You really think he would pick Ark over Bama if he thought his bama scholly was a "sure thing?"

There was a lot more to the story fwiw

He couldn't wait and let his injury he had his Sr year heal...needed to get out of Mobile, I really hated it for him and for Bama but that is how it went down

Mobile is an extremely rough place in certain areas, his neighborhood and HS is no exception

Also wrong board

And I highly doubt his family could afford to pay for his school for a semester/year.

Yep and some issues close to home with a friend and a family member had a lot to do with it

Like I said he had to leave immediately and Arkansas gave him that opportunity, Bama didn't

I also believe another factor overlooked was the fact that it was the 1st year with the SEC 25 signee limit and Bama staff was still trying to figure out how to work out the numbers and it didnt work and the reason I say that is because it hasn't happened since. Staff figured it out

At a glance Grant seems to have similar measurables and skill set to Kenyan Drake and he's doing just fine in our offense.

Maybe Grant just wasn't good enough
