We all know OUs defense isn’t good, but they have arguably the greatest offense in history and Kyler is unreal

I know most fans will say this will be a blowout, but this team is much better than the one that put 48 on UGA last year.

Even with Tua out what’s the best strategy to attack them?

Run the ball a lot and control the clock.

You would think so, but I’m sure Locksley will just have Tua go out there and go deep ever other play.

Hopefully the plan will be to run the ball, control the clock and time of possession, and out physical OU in the trenches. I damn sure do not want to see Bama get into a pass happy shootout with the Sooners. That is playing right into their hands.

Score as much as possible and assume you get some stops

Saban will kill his OC if they don't run the ball at least 75% of the time

As others have said, we have a bunch of idiots on staff if we trot out there and run all these deep routes like yesterday. We should pound the rock all game long.

Defensively, just get 2-3 stops because I’m prepared to watch them go up and down the field. 52-45 type game imo

Bama needs to run the ball, control the clock and limit OU’s possessions. It would be idiotic to try to get into a shootout with them.

That's a great strategy until we don't get the first down, OU scores a few times early and now we're forced into a shootout from down multiple scores. Which is what happened against Deshaun Watson and Manziel twice

Oklahoma literally has the worst pass defense in the country and their rushing yards per attempt allowed is comparable to Georgia. If anything, that is the strategy OU needs to implement against Bama because Bama's going to score nearly every time they get the ball like they did against Ole Miss earlier this season.

OU's secondary IS the worst in all of CFB though. Tua if he played could easily have 400+ yards passing. Smart play would be to just run the football though. Won't be as sexy, but it's a guaranteed win

Sit Tua AND Hurts and run Jacobs as the Wildcat QB with a rotation Harris, Harris and jet sweeps.

I really don't understand some of the thought process here.

The biggest mismatch is Alabama offense vs Oklahoma Defense..

You try to score as much as possible, and let your defense make some stops.

Oklahoma is the team that should be trying to shorten the game.

Saban's game plan after a close game is always "kick arse and take names"

Tua vs 127th ranked pass defense. I would just let Tua go deep as often as he wants. I would bet on our defense to get more stops than theirs. Let Tua be Tua.

The coaches seem drunk with the power Tua gives them, and they can’t game plan according to opponents’ strength.

True but we’re also looking at them against Big12 teams. Everyone in that league throws the ball a ton. They haven’t faced anyone that can run the ball like Alabama. I’m not saying Alabama shouldn’t throw, but if they’re having 2-3 minute scoring drives they’re doing exactly what OU wants them to do. I still think Alabama wins regardless of what game plan they use, but getting into a shootout is OU’s best chance to beat them

Have 1 point more than OU when clock says 0 in the 4th.
