"Georgia made it to the SECCG for a rematch.
Oregon did not."
You are holding it against Oregon that they didn't make it to the SEC championship game?

As much as I love seeing Alabama get taken back to earth, they absolutely deserved to be there by their resume during SEC play.
What we witnessed (and are witnessing, just look at the final 4) is the death of the blue bloods having an iron grip. They will win plenty of nattys going forward. But it’s far from a guarantee at this point.

I can't imagine the level of ignorance required to get this response to what I said.
Oregon didn't make it to their own conference game.

Just because Alabama got dragged across the Rose Bowl by Indiana doesn't mean that they didn't belong. I would argue that neither JMU or Tulane belonged in the 12 team playoff. ND should have gotten in ahead of both of those teams.

Bama traveled 2000 miles to kick a field goal

Huh?
The # 1, 5 , 6 and 10 teams are in the final four..
I think it’s been a pretty good playoff so far

Just pointing out the lack of precision in your statement. Further, you are holding it against Oregon that there are at least three teams in the Big 10 (Oregon, Ohio State and Indiana to be precise) that are better than your best teams.

SEC fans always want the media to pick the finalists and they think UGA should have just gotten an automatic pass. See what happens when you have to prove it on the field?
Ole Miss might still bail out SEC pride this year though nothing Ole Miss does from here on in changes the fact that the SEC had the worst power 4 conference bowl record.

What SEC fans overlook is that we can't assume Ole Miss or UGA wouldn't have gotten beaten just as bad or worse as Alabama. Alabama didn't come close to losing by 35 in conference play and they have a win over UGA.

I'm not holding anything against Oregon. I'm pointing out the fact that Georgia beat the only team that beat them in the regular season in a rematch, and Oregon didn't make it that far.
What you are asking me to do is give Oregon a free pass and pretend they beat Indiana in a rematch, when they didn't. Thus, among the 1 loss teams, Georgia > Oregon.

They should have kept it at 2 teams. Should have been Indiana vs UGA. More teams does not make for a better product.
Shoulda kept it at 4

That last game will haunt your fanbase for a very long time. All your highly paid 5* players got turned out like the cheap whores they are. For frick's sake, IU cleared it's benches halfway thru the 4th quarter! Even the walkons got in the game! Alabama wasn't deserving of that playoff spot. JMU and Tulane would've put up a better fight.
That must really suck to have this as the only thing you can hang your hat on as an Auburn fan. This tracks though, Bama losing has always been more important than winning in Auburn

Damn, that Rose Bowl is definitely something you’ll live in for years not having anything to really cheer about for Auburn. I’m happy you have that
