If Saban sticks around in any significant way your new coach is fricked.

With Nick Saban staying on it essentially means that Alabama has the first GM of college football.

Nah, that honor belongs to this guy…

GMs have been a thing already.

Just not as big of names as Saban

You’re right, of course.

Saban will be way worse.

I’ve no idea how any coach would agree to letting his predecessor stick around with an office in the stadium in some ill-defined new role.

What a cluster. Eager to see the very many ways you Gumps have talked yourselves into thinking this is fantastic.

Co-dependency is a learned behavior that can be passed down from one generation to another. It is an emotional and behavioral condition that affects an individual’s ability to have a healthy, mutually satisfying relationship. It is also known as “relationship addiction” because people with codependency often form or maintain relationships that are one-sided, emotionally destructive and/or abusive. Co-dependent behavior is learned by watching and imitating other family members who display this type of behavior.

There are some goofy looking bastards in that pic and others with looks on their faces like the new coach just took a dump on stage.

I could easily be wrong, but I think it’s Bama who has the most to be concerned about. I have my doubts how this can work out still having Saban around.
I don’t know what else you’re supposed to do, I admit. You can’t kick him to the curb. But I can see more bad than good coming out of his presence and how it affects the new coach. Once any sort of adversity kicks in, don’t act like the media won’t be running to Saban for answers rather than to the head coach. That won’t bode well, imo.

Whether that's fundraising, recruiting or coordinating NIL

Saban has an office on campus so he can't coordinate NIL.

The 15 year deal allowing Learfield to set up an NIL center at Bryant-Deny Stadium prohibits Alabama representatives from participating in any negotiations.

This was real stupid for the Alabama football program but someone in Alabama's administration walked away with some serious cash for themselves.

It's almost like some think The Coach is the only decision maker....Saban has always been a CEO that just also was a Coach.

Times are changing fast. Look to Bama to show the way.

and yes I meen using NIL and portal to cheat Auburn out of any glory they think freez can get um.

A head coach with Saban as the GM sounds like a great idea. Do it.
