It isn't just about Bama, difficult as that may be for the Gumps to accept.

The 2 best teams are playing for the N.C. - period. The system worked.

It’s a given to dislike Bama for all their success as a whole, but this not “deserving” to be there narrative is getting old.

I have been right.

UCF is a team that this playoff was implemented for, and the committee fell on their faces with how they handled them.

They also wouldn't know consistency and transparency if it hit them in their faces.

At least Hocutt is done.

For these clowns it is. BTW, you got in last year not winning your conference, losing head to head to the conference winner, and your conference winner got left out.
You then went and blew it 31-0. You had your shot and blew it.

They played one Power 5 team in the regular season. They most certainly aren't a team that the playoff was implemented for.

That isn't an important stat. If you want it to be, you have a Wisconsin problem...

Yes they are. This wasn't just for Oklahoma State.

Of course they backed into it.
They manage 200 yards of offense and the mother frickers win by 2 scores.

They'll beat Uga just like they did clemson bc uga cant throw.
Why I was pulling for OK, at least they couldve given them a game.

Lost last game of the season.
Got a bye week for not having to play in conf champ game.
Didn't have to play a playoff game vs a team that has a pulse both running and throwing.
Most likely win again.
Your luck will run out one day gumps. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I don't think anybody thought a four team playoff would include a non power 5 undefeated team that struggled mightily with the likes of SMU. It's easy to say they should have been included after they beat an Auburn team that looked like it would rather be anywhere but Atlanta, but how would you leave out Ohio State, Alabama or USC to put in UCF. Schedules aren't comparable. If they want non power 5 teams included they will expand to 8. With 4, teams like UCF rightly have no shot to get in.

Skulldragging your team around the stadium wasn't luck sonny.

Under the old BCS both UGA and Bama would not have had a shot.

Would have been Clemson vs Oklahoma.

After yesterday, this is not a very persuasive argument for the BCS.

There's no point in having a conference championship game if it's pointless to play in. If Georgia was 11-1 and left out would they have gotten the same treatment Bama did. Doubt it

SEC Championship isn't "pointless to play in"

Are you using UCF's win over Auburn to retroactively make their claim?

Otherwise, exactly WHO did they beat that would warrant a spot in the playoffs? The only P5 team that had been on their schedule was Georgia Tech (which was cancelled), and I don't think beating a team that lost in 2OT to Tennessee would have garnered much support (but at least would have been at least ONE P5 school).

Mercer played more P5 schools than UCF did.

MERCER.
