Speaking of The Fambly losing by 100 I seriously thought we could have done it to them if Saban had pushed it.
They had flat out quit. Couldn' t cover Cooper at all

to be fair..not many people can cover Cooper.

I am expecting a great game again this year and I expect Bama to win but if they don't it won't be because Bama has a big slow defense it will be because A&M has a great team and wins. Alabama has more depth and more different defensive packages it can scheme to than anyone in college football. Bama can go big of course but they can also package speed. I expect a great game and I don't expect to fall behind 3 touchdowns, I expect a totally different game than last year win or lose.

quote:
But to their credit Bama is Bma and they hit actually not 2 but a 3rd very good hook ups a could have if not should have won the damn ball game.
Texas A&M fans say those ~150 yards were the result of blown coverage. Yeah, I could believe that if it were just one or two passes, but 3 in the 4th quarter, no way! If AJ hits the receiver in stride on those 3 connections then that's 3 touchdowns. The Yeldon fumble never would have happened if AJ had just hit Cooper in stride on the previous deep pass.
My question to those whom have watched the game is did you notice wide open wide receivers earlier in the game before McCarron started hitting them?
quote:
You do realize that A&M lost 80% of their tackles from last year and almost 90% of their sacks. Bama has been concentrating in this one game for 3 months. Bama in a rout.
Most of those whom think Alabama will win big are disregarding that quarterbacks under the A&M offensive scheme make remarkable improvements in Year 2. Don't expect the same Manziel and offense year 2. No doubt, Saban and Smart will add a few wrinkles in to the defense, but I'm sure Sumlin will have a few new looks and plays in his offense too.
Will Everett and Raven play in this game? A&M's front seven is unproven and suspect, not their starting defensive backs. AJ McCarron will have a healthier and deeper receiving corps this year, but more importantly, McCarron will be healthy. Hopefully, he's made some improvements to his passing game during the offseason.
quote:
Bama was lucky to even have a chance at the end. If A&M doesn't miss it's EASY fgs , the game is over early.
Aggies are fortunate that AJ does not hit Cooper and Bell in stride in the 4th quarter. Aggies are fortunate that Alabama could not make a manageable 3rd down conversion deep in Aggie territory and had to settle for a field goal instead. Aggies are fortunate that they opened 20-0. Don't expect the same explosive first quarter this year.
quote:
Spot on Whiskey Bent, no. Just no. Our offense really sunk our defense in the 1st quarter because we had no sustained drives. Same thing late in the game with turnovers. We weren't lucky to be close, and A&M wasn't lucky to win. It was just a good game.

If Yeldon doesn't fumble and Nuss didn't Nuss it up inside the six Bama breaks this one open and wins by two scores. This is what no Ag wants to admit. Bama corralled JFF and aTm was out scored 24-9 in 3 quarters of play.
That's a misleading argument. Alabama only scored 10 points in the second half, 14 in the second quarter. A less misleading argument would be that Alabama outscored A&M 10-9 in the second half, that is hardly impressive. I know we had two avoidable turnovers in the 4th, but this 24-9 crap is BS. AJ McCarron was off his game, and it cost the team. He's healthy and has a healthy and deeper receiving corps this year. If the Offensive Line pass blocks well, McCarron should have a better game.
quote:
Aggie won because we spotted them 20 easy points in the 1Q and then proceeded to give them three critical turnovers. Very uncharacteristic of Bama. It won't happen again this September.
I wouldn't guarantee it, but it's unlikely. Neither team is the same on either side of the ball. 2013 Alabama's defensive line and secondary have yet to prove themselves in a real game. 2013 Alabama's O-line has yet to prove themselves in a real game. A&M's defensive front seven is unproven. Johnny's chemistry with the new receivers and the running backs have yet to be seen against a good defense. A&M's second team defense couldn't stop the first team offense.

It won JFF a Heisman with led to 1 trillion dollars in marketing $$.
1 trillion?

quote:
It never fails. Bama never loses. Never. They just beat themselves.
Who has beaten Alabama's best game since this run started? The answer is no one. A few teams have taken advantage of sloppy or mediocre Alabama play to squeak out a win, but Alabama has not been dominated or lost when they play their best: 32-13, 21-0.
quote:
The better question is: how in the hell can a team come out flat-footed against Auburn (3-9), Florida (Louisville's bitch), Arkansas (John L Smith), and I'll even throw Ole Miss in there since they made it to the B'ham bowl and gave you guys a fit. Of course, we all know Les Miles only prepares his team for one game out of the year and shits the bed against the rest - all the while LSU fans blame their mishaps on Florida... a team that Alabama has beaten by double digits almost every year since 2009.

No, some people act like it should have been a blowout. Maybe, but the way I see it, Alabama made far too many mistakes to win and left at least 3 touchdowns off the board.

People are still underestimating the pounding our players took the week before in the LSU game last season. Both sides of the line of scrimmage. I don't GAF what anybody else says, but LSU players play their absolute hardest against Bama. There shall be no LSU game pounding the week before this go round. I look forward to the game plus Manziel will be punished for complaining about College Station with all that outstanding Texas vagina at his beck and call.

So UA doesn't play their best every game, 13 or 14 times every year? Has this ever been true of anyone? at anytime?
Posted on 7/13/13 at 2:44 pm to WhiskeyBent
You'll figure out the unwritten rules in time A&M.

The rant has decided that's why we won. Nothing we can do about it

I know, it's hilarious how people still say it is underrated or not being recognized enough

Posted on 7/13/13 at 3:33 pm to ShaneTheLegLechler
And no matter how many times we bring up that we played 9 straight weeks up to the game, it doesn't change anything. Only bama could be worn out

Great Point. Second Half. 10-9 Bama. Wow. That is a dominating second half.
So Bama outplayed A&M 24-0 in 3 quarter play.
But A&M outscored Bama 29-10 in three Qs play.
and 9-7 in the 4th.
But that is a great Stat. yall got there. Finebaum will lap that stat up.

Why is it so funny? Do you think these young men don't get tired or something??
I'm not saying that's the exact reason...but it sure didn't help.
I understand that this game is your teams SUPER BOWL EXTRAVAGANZA VICTORY OF FOREVERDUM!!!!!!!~~~!!!~!~!~~...We get that, but are y'all really such a mediocre program that a regular season game is your programs greatest victory ever?

I mean we don't stand a chance. Have you seen how manly A&M's cheerleaders are?
