Makes no sense.

Only because it's your team being mentioned

Last offseason a ton of Bammers were saying they should be favored in every game and no way should they expect to lose more than one game

You just don't know till the season gets rolling. No one thought Bama 08 was going to be 12-0 entering the SEC CCG, no one thought Auburn last year was going to run the table

Bama fans are realistic by majority, at least as far as this forum goes. I think almost every Bama fan's pre-season evaluation for our team last year was super realistic coming off a NC season.

No, it makes no sense, because it makes no sense.

We were favored in every game cheech. Also, most of us on here were saying 1-3 losses.

I wouldn't put it past petrino. my money would be on Bama, but I wouldn't take any SECw team this year lightly. maybe ole miss. maybe MSU. but really, neither of them.

our perceptions differ markedly then

because the suggestion by some that bama could lose as many as 3 games was called out as being a hater, flamer, or worse by many bama fans

There were some bama fans who said 9-3 or 10-2 was possible... but the majority predicted 10-2 as a worst possible case with 12-0 regular season just as likely

I'm not hating on bama fans in particular tho. LSU fans were pretty damn near the same in 2004

do your own work... show me a prediction thread from last year filled with reasonable bama expectations

IDC really... not like I'm saying anything outrageous here

Are you really wanting to argue that football fans usually have an impartial view of their own teams? shite, if you want full retard LSU opinions the Tiger Rant is a mouse click away

so having a fanbase be off track by an average of less than 2 games is unrealistic?

keep in mind how close they were to being dead accurate.

sure it's unrealistic... and it is part of being a fan

You are kinda supposed to lack perspective when it is your team you are rooting for

I suppose you can only be 100% accurate in GUESSING your team's season to be realistic by your standards. gotcha.

If they get the QB situation taken care of, 14-0 national champs.

The schedule sets up nice for another undefeated, untied, NC. McElroy is gone and now the offense will no longer be handcuffed. The only weakness I could possibly see on this team is lack of a dominant defensive lineman. Lot of solid guys, but no stars like Cody or Dareus. LB are the best in the country and Secondary will be the best in the SEC.

Only threat is Arky really and its in BD.

Or you could have a bell curve of guessing closer to the actual results... instead of consistently pushing the curve to the right

Again, not hating... just pointing out the obvious (That goes for LSU as much as Bama)

The talent gap between them in last year's game was huge. I don't see it being any different this year, but JoaPa was a good enough coach to steal on at home 20 years ago.

They were favored in every game last year. Just didn't win them all.

LSU experienced a similar inflation in 2004

No kidding. We score, what, 3 more points? and we're in the SECCG and possibly the BCSCG.

I think I predicted 10-2 to 12-0 last year. I'm an idiot.

I predicted 10-2 so as not to cover bet... hoped for 11-1, and could feasibly rationalize 9-3.

the year's ending note was solid at least.
