True or not, if it pisses off the players I'm with it.
Fran pulled a stunt back in 2002 that paid a 31-0 dividend in Baton Rouge. He talked about it ALL week and preached to the players how we had been disrespected. After the game a student fessed up to doing it but by then the damage was done. Fran would have said LSU was just faking it anyway and it really was said. I was listening to Fran's show on the way to Baton Rouge and he talked incessantly about it. After the game was over we were asking each other what the midfield handshake would be like. We thought Fran might throw a punch. He knew what he was doing and it focused our players and we took care of business.

Saw on BOL where one guy started a link claiming he was smack talking, but that was followed by several posters who told him he was way off, that Miles came across very respectful. Maybe you saw this somewhere else, but on BOL, I can assure you, that one guy didn't speak for all Bama fans. Miles Garrett is a very good football player, and respected by most of us, can't speak for the fringe folks
