Upshaw's shoelace got tangled in the Vandy player's fingers. When the Vandy player noticed it, he pulled away... you'll see it yanks Upshaw's foot towards him, nearly tripping him. I think the Vandy player did this on purpose, trying to hurt Upshaw.

While I'm disappointed in Upshaw, I'm finding hard to take seriously any LSU fan expressing outrage over it. I seem to recall a lot of guffaws from them when someone posted clips of one of their players punching a Bama player in a pile last year.
