That list seems extremely suspect. Probably has to do a lot more with how crimes are reported.
I went to UC-San Diego and the campus is an isolated, pretty controlled access, upscale state park surrounded by billionaire mansions in La Jolla CA where the majority of students are nerdy rich kids who got into the highly competitive pre-med and science programs.
I have a lot of family that attends or teaches at the University of Alabama. No possible way that UCSD has more overall crime than that campus, which I would still consider very safe in general.
The list seems like it's much more about how crimes get reported.

I won't dispute that these crimes may have happened. But in 15 years of visiting CS for sporting events, not once have I heard of an incident. Not once.
So if these crimes are indeed happening, they aren't happening anywhere near sporting events.

I will make it simple for you, what city has more traffic accidents daily, Houston or Abilene? Houston of course because there is a crap ton more cars.
