Back to back mediocre seasons is enough to get any SEC coach fired at todays salaries. If Gus doesn't win 8 games he's gone unless he upsets Bama. Auburn is going to lose 4 or 5 games and Gus' odds of keeping his job are slim.

I sure don't see 8 wins on AU's 2016 schedule. If everything falls their way, 7-5...most likely 6-6 or 5-7.

I could see Herman taking the job if Tx or AtM doesn't open up. I mean if he was almost at USCe, he'd certainly consider Auburn.

Wherever Herman goes..even if it is Texas..he will take the Ohio State job when Urban hangs it up. This is almost a given.

Pruitt is a good DC. Vols rang up 70 points on his inbred arse the last two years.

No it's not. Herman has spent most of his adult life in the state of Texas. He has many contacts there at the high school level. It's why he's done so well at Houston.

The Texas job will almost surely open before tOSU job opens up. And if he does get the Texas job, and is successful in Austin, he stays put IMHO.

Somehow Auburn lost their spring game.

Time to hire Blake Anderson since he's the Arkansas State coach.

Dantonio would be a lateral move. Pruitt is unproven as head coach and Herman needs to prove himself some more. Based on Auburn's last two hires, it seems likely it will be someone with earlier ties to the program.

Yeah, Jay Jacobs' retarded arse will hire another "Auburn man, Good ole Boy" in place of two others.

Gus is still learning to be a HC in the SEC. I saw an article last week where he said he tried to be too much of a CEO type last season and this year he was going back to his roots at football coach.

Now I don't know what made him feel like he needed to be a CEO and not a football coach, but he obviously feels like he needs to be more hands on this year.

He knows he's got to get this thing turned around THIS year.
