Our front 7 is ultra talented.
Unfortunately, their talent is pilsbury dough boy impressions
Seriously, of our starting front 7, at least 4 will make NFL rosters and another 2-3 are young and have a good shot. It is scary how embarrassing it is that they are that talented yet that bad. It is like a poor rendition of the 2013 super talented LSU offense not scoring 100/game
AU Front 7 that will make NFL: DT Adams, LB Frost, LB McKinzy, DE Carl Lawson (inj) Likely LB Williams DT Russell

From my view Frost has no business on an nfl roster. I haven't seen enough of Williams or Russell to opine on them.

The front seven was supposed to be a bright spot this season. As others have stated, injuries, new system, and lack of depth are really hurting us.

From an outsiders point of view, it seems to me that defensive preparation is just an afterthought in Malzahn's system, no matter who the defensive coordinator is. Do any Auburn fans have any insight on this?

They've just got the perfect shite storm happening on defense for them: *Injuries *Implementing a new system *Lack of talent/development from the previous defensive staff *Young players having to learn on the field as they go It was never gonna be a great year for them defensively, and those reasons definitely didn't help placate it.
